Dessie L. Turner, age 88, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Spring View Nursing and Rehab Center in Leitchfield, Ky.  She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on March 13, 1934 to the late Balis Guffy Lacefield and Martha Leora Bryant Lacefield.  Dessie worked at Kane’s and Kellwood and was a housewife. She loved to raise a garden and grow flowers.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ora Eugene Turner; two infant siblings;  three brothers Roy, Rollie and Cleveland Lacefield; sisters Bessie Hogan and Annie McGrew.

Amanda Michelle Beasley McNeely, age 40 passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022 at her residence. She was born on Sunday, February 7, 1982 in Bowling Green, KY to Gary Ray and Deborah Mae Milam Beasley who survives. Amanda was a member of Oak Ridge General Baptist Church,  graduate of Butler County High School class of 2000 and she continued her education at Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, KY earning a social worker degree. Amanda loved spending time with her girls Gabbie and Chloe and she enjoyed reading and writing.

Barbara Dell Greathouse, age 84 of Huntsville, KY passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022 at her residence. Barbara was born on Saturday, September 25, 1937 in Butler County, KY to the late Shellie and Annie Flewallen Brown and wife of the late Harold Ray Greathouse. She was a member of the Monticello Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Sumitomo Electrical Wiring in Morgantown, KY after 12 years of service. Barbara enjoyed gardening, traveling out west, growing flowers, spending time with her great grandchildren and she really enjoyed going to casino's.

Denise Annette Bratcher passed away on February 7, 2022 at home. She died in the arms of her sisters Danielle and Donna. Her passing, although very sudden, was quick. She lived her life in the west side suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, and retired after many years in the insurance industry.

John Edward "Johnny" Tuck, age 76 of Morgantown, KY passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. He was born on Saturday, February 2, 1946 in Bowling Green, KY to the union of the late Luther and Gusta Romans Tuck. Johnny was a United States Navy Vietnam Veteran and a member of Crossland Community Church. He was elected as magistrate for two terms serving the people of the 2nd district and was a retired truck driver. Johnny enjoyed playing pool, fishing, drag racing and UK Basketball.

Elmer Casey Day age 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 02, 2022. He was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Orville Richard Daye and Lola Daugherty Daye.  He graduated from Cromwell Kentucky High School in 1949. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Western Kentucky University in 1953, he graduated from Harvard University in 1955.

Deidre Jo Sullenger Bright, 71, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at her residence.  She was born in Cambridge, England on May 26, 1951 to the late Charles and Dorothy Kettlehut Sullenger.  She was a member of the Morris Chapel Church in Oaktown, In. and attended the M-Town Naz Church in Morgantown.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  Deidre was preceded in death by her parents and brother Mark “Otto” Sullenger.

Timothy K. Smith age 62 of Morgantown, KY passed away Monday, May 30, 2022 at his residence. Timothy was born Thursday, February 25, 1960 in Bowling Green, KY. He is preceded in death by his father Rex Wayne Smith; one sister Melinda Smith Phelps; one brother Michael Smith and his grandmother Clemence Smith. 

Shirley Jean Neighbors, age 75 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born on Sunday, May 4, 1947 in Butler County, Kentucky to the union of the late Earlon Nathaniel and Laura Jane "Vinnie" Phelps Brashars.

Martin C. Porter, age 89 passed away Tuesday, May 17 2022 at the Heartford House in Owensboro, KY. Martin was born on Sunday, November 27, 1932 in Cromwell, KY to the union of the late Fred D. and Audrey Taylor Porter. He was a member of Green River Missionary Baptist Church, a retired Post Master at the Post Office in Cromwell, KY and loved farming and woodworking. Other than his parents, Martin is preceded in death by one son, Martin C. Porter Jr., brothers; Allen, Jack, Durwood and Virgil, and Sisters; Ornonia, Margie, Nera Mae and Udeyne.
