Born on December 7, 1952, in Washington DC, Henry's life was a testament to his enduring spirit and the love he shared with those around him.

Larry Dean Flener

Larry Dean Flener, age 66, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center.  He was born in Louisville, KY on June 3, 1958.  Larry was a logger who loved his grandchildren, fishing and cooking out for his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Gavin and Estell Havens Flener; two daughters Beth Flener and Holly Logsdon Vance; siblings Virginia Adkins (Palmer), Patricia Williams Phelps, Randell and Rodger Phelps and Ricky Flener.

Wesley “Wes” Robert Slaughter

Wesley “Wes” Robert Slaughter, age 55 of Big Reedy, unexpectedly departed this life on Monday, September 9, 2024.  The Edmonson County native was born on August 21, 1969 to the late William Rayburn Slaughter and the late Julia Ann Luttrell.  He was married to his loving, devoted wife of thirty-three years, Gloria Maxine Slaughter, who survives.

Donnie Kenneth Goodman

Donnie Kenneth Goodman, age 79, of Cromwell, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Hartford, Ky. on Oct. 13, 1944.  He retired from Young Manufacturing, Inc. and enjoyed music, collecting guitars and watching westerns.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Susie Ashby Goodman; five brothers and five sisters.

Donnie is survived by his sister, Pearl Goodman; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Othelle “Tillie” Lightfoot

Othelle “Tillie” Lightfoot, 100, of Bowling Green, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Christian Health Center. The Butler County native was the daughter of the late Willie and Rena Bobbett Turner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, JD Lightfoot. 

Mrs. Lightfoot was a member of Faith Methodist Church and was previously a member of Westside United Methodist Church. She was very active in the church, including as a member of the United Methodists Women, serving as a Sunday School teacher, and holding many other offices.

Roger David Lindsey

 Roger David Lindsey, 86, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away Monday, September 2, 2024, surrounded by his family at Ohio County Healthcare. He was born August 18, 1938, in Hartford, Kentucky to Rava Mosley Lindsey and the late CB Lindsey. Mr. Lindsey was a retired contractor and member of Independence Baptist Church in McHenry. He proudly served in the United States Navy.

Aside from his father he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, James Parritt and two sisters, Betty Carol Boone and Kay Crowley.
