Henry L. Raemsch

Henry L. Raemsch, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his residence in Rochester, Kentucky, on September 15, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on December 7, 1952, in Washington DC, Henry's life was a testament to his enduring spirit and the love he shared with those around him.

Henry's journey began as the son of Henry and Mary Bladen Raemsch, who, along with his beloved wife Melanie JoAnn Starcher Raemsch, daughter Cassandra Raemsch, and sister Christine Cletcher, preceded him in death. His legacy continues through his devoted children, Jaunita Raemsch of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Joseph Raemsch of Rochester, KY. Henry's joy was multiplied by his six grandchildren, Mary Murray of Belton, KY, Kimberlie Murray of Beechmont, KY, Autumn Soderberg (Ryan) of Anderson, SC, Scott Murray of Owensboro, KY, and John and Jason Knott of Leonardtown, Maryland. His eleven great-grandchildren will carry forward the memories of their beloved great-grandfather's warmth and wisdom.

Henry's life was marked by his service to his country as a United States Army veteran. His dedication to his work was evident in his meticulous painting of airplanes at the Naval Air Station Patuxent River. His career spanned several years in the trucking industry and at Perdue.

A man of many talents and interests, Henry found solace and joy in the simplicity of nature. He was an avid woodwork, gardening was a source of pride and sustenance, as he spent countless hours tending to his plants and later canning the fruits of his labor. Fishing and hunting were more than hobbies for Henry; they were opportunities for reflection and connection with the outdoors he so dearly loved. Those who knew Henry would describe him as loving, handy, and selfless. His actions spoke louder than words, as he consistently put the needs of others before his own. His memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories told by his family, the laughter of his grandchildren.
