Carlton E. Drake, 92, of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Carlton was born Wednesday November 23, 1921 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Charles "Charlie" Ervin and Jessie Mae Belcher Drake. He was a member of Morgantown First Baptist Church, a World War II Navy Veteran, was retired from Warren Rural Electric after 25 years, served on Morgantown Utilities Board and Morgantown Planning and Zoning Board, and was a former commander for the VFW. Other than his parents, Carlton is preceded in death by one brother, Charles Desper Drake.

Carlton E. Drake is survived by his wife, Lennie Rone Drake, of Morgantown, Kentucky.; two brothers, Howard "Droopy" Drake and wife Peggy of Morgantown, Kentucky; and Wilbur Drake of Morgantown, Kentucky; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Frank Dorris and Bro. Greg Wallace officiating. Burial will be in the Hill Haven Memory Garden where military rights will be presented by the AM Vets Post #117. Visitation will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday May 26, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time at 1:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
