Carolyn Robinson Thomas age 74 of Trophy Club, Texas died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at EthicusHospital in Grapevine Texas, after a lengthy illness following complications from meningitis. Mrs. Thomas was a house wife, house remodeler and actively involved in Women on Missions and was a Kentucky Colonel.

Virginia Mourine Womack Abbott, age 96, of Auburn, Kentucky, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at Auburn Health Care Center. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Tom Lawhon officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Morgantown, Kentucky at 2pm with Doug Abbott, Mark Abbott, David Abbott, Garrett Abbott, Maclain Dunlap and Tony Jones serving as pallbearers.

Winzel B. Henderson, 74 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013, at his residence. Winzel was born May 19, 1938, in Daviess County to the late Cassius and Palastine Daugherty Henderson and husband of the late Frances Cox Henderson. He was a member of Barnetts Lick Missionary Baptist Church and retired sheet metal worker. He is preceded in death by son Winzel Ronnie Henderson; 2 sisters Costella M. Webster and Carolyn Amos and 2 brothers W C Henderson and Glenn Henderson.

Marlon Tarrence, 83, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, January  26, 2013, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.  Mr. Tarrence was born August 31, 1929, in Butler Co. to the late Millard and Myrtle Willis Tarrence,  husband of Mary Gray Tarrence of 59 years. He attended Mt Lebanon Presbyterian  Church.  He was a carpenter and  retired from Louisville Gas & Electric.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Margie Tarrence Neighbors, Estill Neighbors, Nelson Neighbors, Pete Tarrence, Dewey Tarrence , Byron Tarrence.

Cordia was born September 18, 1942, in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Garfield and Mary Johnson House and wife of the late Carl Fields. She was preceded in death by one son William Lane Fields; brother Danny Ray Hammers, and 2 sisters Imogene Hammons and Anna Mae House.

Joe Anderson, 93 of Quality, Kentucky died on Friday, January 25, 2013, at Logan Memorial Hospital in Russellville, Kentucky.

He was born September 25, 1919, the son of the late Christopher Clellan Anderson and the late Eula Jane Givens.

He was the husband of the late Clarcie Cook Anderson. Joe was the owner and operator of Anderson Grocery Store. He was also a school bus driver and substitute mail carrier. He was a Veteran of World War II and a member of Quality Baptist Church.

David Beliles

David Beliles, 56, of Morgantown Kentucky, entered into eternal rest at 1:12 pm Thursday, January 24, 2013, after spending 22 days with family at his bedside while he passed away from a brief battle with cancer. David was born in Butler County on May 31, 1956, to the late Orville and Laura West Beliles and was also preceeded in death by  sister Barbara Beliles Hunt and  brother Randell Beliles.
He worked for many years in construction and plumbing. He loved his family, hunting, fishing, UK basketball,and his yorkie, Cali.

Christine Whitaker, 80, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January  24, 2013, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.  Mrs. Whitaker was born February 4, 1932, in Butler County to the late Ezra and Blanche Hawks Cardwell.  She was a member of Glendale Baptist Church and the Eastern Star.  She was a retired toll booth attendant in Bowling Green for 26 yrs.

Mr. Deel was born August 25, 1956 in Warren County, to the late Lonnie M. and Dorothy M. Gregory Deel.  He was a truck driver for First Class Trucking.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Marie Christmas, 100 of Lewisburg, Kentucky died on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

She was born Sunday, September 22, 1912 in South Hill, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Oscar Carroll and the late Nellie Knight Carroll. She was the wife of the late Cephus Christmas.

She was a homemaker and a member of Union Chapel General Baptist Church.

Surviving are 2 nephews; Wally Carroll and Wilbur Carroll, both of Rochester, KY, and 1 niece; Tereasa Johnson of Rochester, KY.
