Jerry Phelps

Jerry Phelps, 59 of Hartford, Ky. passed away Monday March 16, 2015 at his residence. Jerry was born March 13, 1956 in Madisonville, Ky. to the late Allen and Lotte Phelps Phelps. He is preceded in death by two sisters Glenda Martin and Peggy Hicks.
Jerry Phelps is survived by his friend and companion of 25 years James Darryl Rogers of Hartford, Ky.; 4 sisters; Cherietta Woolever, Sue Gribble, Kathy Jolly and Sandra Williams; 4 brothers Eldridge Allen Phelps, Terry Phelps, Tony Phelps and Travis Phelps and several nieces and nephews.

James Askew

James Lloyd Askew, 88, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Monday, March 9, 2015 at   Woodcrest at Blakeford in Nashville, Tn. He was born in Morgantown, Ky. on  August  24, 1926  to the late Joe and Mae Askew.  Mr. Askew was an electrician (school/training in Chicago) who wired many Butler Co. homes in the late 40's -60's. He preached at several Church of Christ congregations over the years.  He also sold insurance and marketing material  He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Lloyd Askew and one sister Ruth Askew Fuller.

Danny Johnson, 50 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Friday March 13, 2015 at his residence. Danny was born January 10, 1965 in Butler County, Ky.
Danny Johnson is survived by his mother Lucille Johnson Deweese of Morgantown, Ky.; one brother Randy Oller of Morgantown, Ky.; one sister Lisa Oller of Morgantown, Ky. and two half sisters Connie Sue Johnson and Judy Higgs.
Cremation was chosen and arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Chapel.

Lesley Carol Burden, 42 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Thursday March 12, 2015 at her residence. Lesley was born July 25, 1972 in Warren County Kentucky to the late Charles Cardwell and Linda Brooks Brooks. She was a member of Leonard Oak General Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Lesley Carol Burden is survived by one daughter Santana Dugan of Morgantown, Ky.; one son Demetchie Dugan of Morgantown, Ky.; two sisters Trevia Cardwell of Morgantown, Ky. and Lyris Dockery of Clarkson, Ky.; several step sisters and brothers and several nieces and nephews.

Geraldine Ruth Lee, 94 of Huntsville Alabama formerly of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Thursday March 12, 2015 at the Madison Manor in Madison Alabama. Geraldine was born March 1, 1921 in Clarksville Arkansas to the late Homer and Ruth Mowery. She was a member of Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sisters.

Chester Bell Peay, 73, of  Rochester, Ky. passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at St. Thomas, West Hospital in Nashville, Tn. Chester was born July 15, 1941  in Butler Co., Ky. to the late Raymond and Sally Foster Peay.  He was a United States Army Veteran and a retired Mechanic , Mr. Peay was a member of New Midway Baptist Church. He was  preceded  in death by his parents Raymond and Sally; one sister Faye Dean Peay
 
Mr. Peay is survived by his wife of 47 years Linda Southerland Peay of Rochester, Ky.

Bobbie was born December 21, 1969 in Louisville, Ky. to the late Danny Johnson and Peggy Tarrance Johnson who survives. She is preceded in death by her father, grandparents Opal and Plumer Tarrance, grandmother Margaret Johnson and one uncle Harley Tarrance.

Gordon Keith Hatcher, 55 of Jetson, Ky. passed away Wednesday March 11, 2015 at his residence. Keith was born October 5, 1959 in Bowling Green, Ky. to the late Jewell Austin Hatcher and Nancy Marie Tyler Hatcher. He attended Crossland Community Church in Bowling Green, Ky. and taught psychology at Ohio County High School for 20 years. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and was a avid collector of old Coleman Lanterns.

Jerry "Shorty" Tomes, 52 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at his residence. Jerry was born September 14, 1962 in Butler County Kentucky to the late Glen Ray Tomes and Bonnie Embry Tomes who survives. He was a coal miner for Armstrong Coal Co. Jerry is preceded in death by one brother Gary Lynn Tomes; two nieces Melody Henderson and Natasha Denise Goodall and one uncle Denzil Embry.
