J.C. Pharris

J.C. Pharris, 83, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. J.C. was born on Saturday ,March 19, 1932 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Jake and Courtney Geary Pharris. He was in the ministry for several years, a member of Oak Ridge General Baptist Church, and a retired farmer. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Edith Pharris and one brother, Houston Pharris.

Barbara Ann (Hogan) Luker

On Friday, July 10, 2015, Barbara Ann Luker  entered into eternal rest thus concluding the final chapter in her book of life. She was surrounded by her family at this final moment.

She was born on October 13, 1949, to Lula Mae Hogan, and grew up in  Morgantown, KY.  She started a family with Shelby Gene Smith, also from Morgantown, KY, and moved to Indiana where she spent most of her adult life.  She retired from Tomco in Kendallville, IN.

Billy Ray Kimmel Sr.

Billy Ray Kimmel Sr. 69 of Welchs Creek, Ky. passed Thursday, July 9, 2015 at his residence. Billy was born November 26, 1945 in Muhlenberg County Kentucky to the late Jack and Essie Baggett Kimmel. He was of the Church of Christ Faith and a retired timber cutter. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one sister Lura Kirtley; three brothers Marshall, Ollie and James Kimmel and three half brothers.

Robert Daniel Boone

Robert Daniel Boone, 60, passed away on July 6, 2015, in Carrollton, TX, after a brief battle with leukemia. He was born on March 11, 1955, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where he spent his youth with parents Lawrence Herbert Boone and Geneva Katherine Smith, and his eight brothers and sisters. He married Mabel Lois Romans on June 14, 1975, in the Washington, D.C. Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and they went on to have three sons together.

Shirley White Daugherty

Shirley White Daugherty, 70, of Morgantown, KY, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at the Hospice House in Bowling Green, Ky. Shirley was born August 4, 1944, in Morgantown, KY. to the late Estill and Beulah Smith White. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church and worked at Don Lindsey's Grocery for many years. She enjoyed volunteering at 5th District Elementary School and loved making hand made quilts. She also loved fishing, farming and spending time with her family.

Thelma Mae Whitescarver

Thelma Mae Whitescarver, 94 of Jason Ridge Rd., Lewisburg, Kentucky died on Saturday, July 4, 2015, at her residence.

She was born Monday, June 27, 1921 in Clifty, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Ray Tooley and the late Icie McGehee Tooley. She was the wife of the late Hubert Hershel Whitescarver.

She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Union General Baptist Church.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Shelia Rose Willis, 63, of  Calvert City, Ky., passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015 at her residence.  She was born in Ohio Co., Ky. on March 20, 1952 to the late Troy and Shirley Mae Morris Willis.  Shelia was a member of Holly Hills Missionary Baptist Church and worked at Calvert City Metal and Alloy.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Anita Gayle Willis.

Bryan "Boo" Embry

Bryan "Boo" Embry, 25, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the Medical Center Hospital, Bowling Green, Ky.  He was born in Warren Co. Ky., on January 27, 1990  to Roy and Regina Blunk Embry.  Bryan liked working on cars, listening to music and watching UK football & basketball. He was preceded in death by his father Roy Embry and grandfather Latney Blunk.

Ron Ingram

Ron Ingram, 49 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Ron was born February 28, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Bennie and Glynda Archer Ingram. He was a member of Chapel Union Baptist Church, owner and operator of Ingram Lawn and Pool. Ron started his career with Logan County EMS for 4 years and upon retirement after 22 years of service to the people of Butler County with Butler County EMS. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his step mother Barbara Ingram.

Richard "Pa" Flener

Richard "Pa" Flener, 61, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015 at his loving sisters in- law residence, Betty Wilson in Morgantown.  He was born in Louisville, Ky. on February 3, 1954 to the late Gavin and Estell Haven Flener. He was a retired timber cutter and loved fishing, hunting and most of all being with his grandchildren. He preceded in death by his parents, sister Virginia Adkins, stepmother Anna Mae Deweese Flener.
