Barbara Ann (Hogan) Luker

On Friday, July 10, 2015, Barbara Ann Luker  entered into eternal rest thus concluding the final chapter in her book of life. She was surrounded by her family at this final moment.

She was born on October 13, 1949, to Lula Mae Hogan, and grew up in  Morgantown, KY.  She started a family with Shelby Gene Smith, also from Morgantown, KY, and moved to Indiana where she spent most of her adult life.  She retired from Tomco in Kendallville, IN.

Her love for family and friends was immeasurable, making anyone who met her feel like part of her family. Barbara Ann was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  

Surviving are four sons, Tommy Gene Smith (Pam) of Fayetteville, NC, James Ray Smith (Cindy)of Butler,IN, Robert McClellan Smith (Kim)of Edgerton, OH, Richard Duane Bollenbacher of Butler, IN; three daughters, Dawn Renee Welch of Butler, IN, Sevin Lynn Wade (Hunter) of Hamilton, IN, Brooke Denise Shirks of Butler, IN; two brothers, Jesse Ray Hogan of Ft. Wayne, IN; James Reed of Kentucky a sister, Kathy Mae Wilson of Beaver Dam, KY; 17 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Smith; a sister , Daisy Reed, and a brother, Tommy Hogan.

Cremation was chosen.
