Anita Rager Smith, 78 of Muhlenberg County, Ky. passed away Saturday August 29, 2015 at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Anita was born on Wednesday February 10, 1937 in Muhlenberg County Kentucky to the late Mose and Laverda Maxberry Rager and wife of the late Arthur R. "Smitty" Smith. She is preceded in by death by her parents, husband and two brothers David and Freddy.

Mary Jane Embry White, 98 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Friday August 28, 2015 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab. Mary was born on Thursday May 24, 1917 in Butler County Kentucky to the late Herman and Laura Ellen Daugherty Embry and wife of the late Everett White. She was a member of New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter Vergie Ilean Parker and two grandsons David Leon and Kerry Allen McKinney.

Lewis Newton, age 80, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (August 27, 2015) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on May 30, 1935 in South, KY, the son of the late Everett and Myrtle Heath Newton.

He worked as a forklift operator for Universal Concrete Pipe Company for 39 years, and was a member of Teamsters Union, Local 89. Lewis enjoyed farming, loved his family, and loved all children. He was an honest and hard-working man. Lewis was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Larry W. Norrid, 64, of Bowling Green passed away at 5:55PM Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015 at his home.

The Holland, MO native was a retired robot technician at GM Corvette Assembly and was a member and deacon at Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church. He was
a son of Warren S. Norrid and Juanita Lavall Norrid of Steele, MO, who survive.

Funeral will be at 10 AM Wednesday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Brownsville Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8 PM Tuesday and after 9
AM Wednesday.

James Armes Sullivan, 67 of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at the Medical Center Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky. He was born in Detroit, MI. on February 27, 1948  to Carl Sullivan and Bonnie Luttrel Cummings.  Mr. Sullivan was a Carpenter. He was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed studying his bible. He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandchildren Aryana Clayton and Nevah Clayton, one brother Joe Hayse.  

Katie Sue Dotson, 72, of  La Grange, Illinois, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015, at her residence.  She was born in Michigan on May 13, 1943 to William O. and Charlene Moore Dotson. Ms. Dotson  retired from the  Juvenile Justice Court System.  She was a member of the Morgantown Methodist Church and Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother David Dotson and  sister Carmen Dotson Geid.

Carlos Leon Webster, 61 of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on January 14, 1954 to Azro and Thelma Phelps Webster.  Mr. Webster  was a security guard and a member of the Trinity Full Gospel Tabernacle Church.  He enjoyed tractors, guns and rebuilding high performance engines. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lizzie Moran; brother, Willie Webster and two infant brothers.

William Wilbert Blancett, 90, of Louisville, joined his heavenly father on Wednesday, August 19, 2015.

He was born on September 17, 1924 in Morgantown, Kentucky, the son of Hobert
Garrett and Mae (Bratcher) Blancett of Morgantown, KY and is preceded in death by his wife Geneva (Whittinghill) Blancett; son, Timothy Blancett and grand-son, Timothy J. Bucalo.

Travis Franklin Greenwood, age 77 of Hardinsburg, Kentucky died Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Norton Audubon Hospital.  He was born in Breckinridge County on October 28, 1937, the son of the late Charlie and Gladys Boyter Greenwood.  Travis worked in the grocery business as a manager for many years,(Morgantown Foodland) was an Army veteran, a member of the Hardinsburg VFW Post and a member of St. Romuald Catholic Church.
He enjoyed fishing and playing golf as well as other outdoor activities.  He was preceded in death by his siblings: Lorene O’Reily and Clifford Greenwood.

Joe Hairl Phelps, 65, of Bowling Green, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.  Joe was born May 9, 1950 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late James Hairl and Inez Clark Phelps. He was a retired mechanic and was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter,  Amanda Jo Phelps.
