J.C. Pharris, 83, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. J.C. was born on Saturday ,March 19, 1932 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Jake and Courtney Geary Pharris. He was in the ministry for several years, a member of Oak Ridge General Baptist Church, and a retired farmer. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Edith Pharris and one brother, Houston Pharris.
J.C. Pharris is survived by his wife, Yvonne Pharris of Morgantown, KY.; three sisters - Allean Embry and husband James of Morgantown, KY; Ann Ruth Guilaran of Morgantown, KY and Lue Tella Logan  and husband Harold of Morgantown, KY; and three brothers - Connie H. Pharris  and wife Jean of Winchester, OH; Revil L. Pharris of Morgantown, KY and Teddy F. Pharris and wife Janice of Morgantown, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Oak Ridge General Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Jimmy Cushenberry officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 1:00 p.m. at the Oak Ridge General Baptist Church.
