Mary Lou Minnix

 Mary Lou Minnix, 78, of Brownsville passed away at 8:36 Aug. 13, 2015 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green.
 The Butler County native was a homemaker and member of Fairview United Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Oscar Cardwell and Elizabeth Cardwell and the wife of the late William Ted Minnix.
Funeral was on  Wednesday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial in the Fairview Cemetery.

Steven Barks

Steven Barks age 59 of Maryville passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Blount Memorial Hospital.  He retired from the United States Air Force. Steven volunteered with the Habitat for Humanity and local prison ministry.  He liked to play golf with his sons and was of the Baptist faith.  He was employed as Linx/Unix Global Director with Elavon Technology.  Steven was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed.  Preceded in death by:  Father, James Watson Barks.

Robbie D. McCarty

Robbie D. McCarty, 75 of Bowling Green passed away on August 14, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on May 14, 1940 in Cleaton, KY. Robbie was a member of Plum Springs Baptist Church and was known to many friends and family as “Nana”. She was a long time employee of Minit Mart Foods and retired from Houchens Industries after nine years in July 2011.

HARDING C. MOORE, 94, passed away on August 14, 2015.
He was a retired employee of Celenese Corp., a member of the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star and DAV, and an Army veteran of WWII.
Preceding him in death was his beloved wife, Verda Moore and his daughter, Patricia Watkins.
Survivors include his grandchildren, David Watkins (Kelli) and Kimberly Jayne Jobe (Larry); great grandchildren, Zachary Jayne, Nicole Watkins, Ethan Jayne, and Brandon Watkins; his son-in-law, John Watkins; and niece, Betty Timmons.

Mark Robert McLean

Mark Robert McLean age 61 of Bowling Green, died Wednesday, August 12 at his residence. He was born in Everett, Washington to the late Charles "Chuck" McLean and Joann Bennett McLean of Morgantown.He served in the United States Army and the National Guard. He worked as a Janitor in the Bowling Green area.
Along with his mother he is survived by his step brothers, Daniel and Christopher Douglas of Bowling Green. A good friend and caregiver Connie Sue Hardinman of Bowling Green.

Wilda Marie Pennington Lockhart, 86, of Oakland, Ky. passed away August 11, 2015 at the Hospice of Southern Kentucky. Mrs. Lockhart was the daughter of the late A.W. Pennington and Josephine Clemons Pennington. She is preceded in death by her husband George H. Lockhart; one daughter, Paula Marie Hood; two sons, George H. Lockhart, Jr. and Jeffrey M. Lockhart; six siblings, Allen Pennington, William Pennington, Elsie Wilson, Beula Meredith, Kathryn Williams, A. W. Pennington, Jr. She was a graduate of Bristow High School. Mrs.

Dennis L. Gill, 58 of Bowling Green, Ky. passed away on August 6, 2015 surrounded by love ones. Dennis was born on Sunday October 4, 1956 in Bowling Green, Ky. to the late Genie and Helen Tinsley Gill. He was a retired truck driver and preceded in death by his parents, one son Robbie Gill and three brothers John, Frank and Virgil Gill.

TSgt. Charles James Evans USAF(Ret)

Charles Evans, 85, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015.

Charles was born on August 22, 1929 in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. He proudly served in the United States Air Force retiring as Tech Sergeant after 23 years of service. Charles then continued his career as head Mechanic at Flint EMC. He was a Charter Member of the VFW Post #654 in Macon. In his spare time Charles enjoyed fishing, cows, and farming. Above all else Charles loved his family and his beloved dog Bobo.

His parents, Jesse James and Myrtle Gary Evans, and brother, Jesse James Evans, preceded him in death.

Pokie Pearl McCoy, 87 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Sunday August 2, 2015 at the Magnolia Village Care & Rehab in Bowling Green, Ky. Pokie was born on Tuesday March 20, 1928 in Butler County to the late Virdi and Eula Ann Arnold Givens and wife of the late Prentice Edward McCoy. She was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from Kanes Sewing Factory in Morgantown, Ky. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Prentice Alexander McCoy, two sisters Nokie Bell Farris and Ona Meril (Jerry) O'Neil and three brothers Ellis Dee Givens, Clarence E.

Jerald “Jerry” Wayne Ford

Jerald “Jerry” Wayne Ford age 67 of Louisville was born August 14, 1947 to the late William J. and Mary C. Hutchinson Ford and returned to his Heavenly Father July 30,2015 while surrounded by his family. Mr. Ford was a retired forklift operator with Graphic Packaging and Local 89. Jerry loved hunting, fishing and the great outdoors.
