Alma Jean Keown

Alma Jean Keown, age 78, of Morgantown, KY passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at her daughter's residence in Morgantown. Alma was born on April 27, 1942 in Butler County to the union of Leslie Jasper and Nora Belilies Russ. She was a homemaker, loved her cat Tom, and enjoyed gardening and canning.


Kathleen Romans

Kathleen Romans, 90, of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Saturday May 9, 2020 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Kathleen was born February 24, 1930 in Butler County, Kentucky to the union of Alva L. and Stella Howard Dunn, and wife of the late Willard P. Romans. She was a member of Barnett’s Lick Missionary Baptist Church, Eastern Star and she retired from Kellwood Company.


Kimberly A. Brooks

Kimberly A. Brooks, 45 of Park City, KY formerly of Morgantown, KY passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020 at her residence. Kimberly was born June 27, 1974 in Butler County, KY to the union of the late Bobby J. and Reita Carathers Brooks who survives. She was a member of Temple View General Baptist Church and a homemaker. Kimberly loved to fish, do crafts, and spend time with her family and especially her grandchildren.


Christopher C. Fry

Christopher C. Fry, born February 8, 1966 died Wednesday, May 6, 2020 peacefully in Neffs, Ohio. Chris spent most of his adult working life as a forester for Glatfelter and most recently at Pennline and was a Kentucky Master Logger. Chris had many hobbies including beekeeping, fly fishing, collecting antiques and Civil War memorabilia and hunting arrowheads. He also earned a BS in business management from Midcontinent University.


Camille Embry Phelps

Camille Phelps, 91, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Monday, May 4, 2020 at her home. She was a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ.


Bro. Howard C. Phelps

Bro. Howard C. Phelps, 62 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Monday, May 4, 2020, at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, KY. Howard was born May 14, 1957 in Butler County, KY to the late J.C. Phelps and Bernice Orange Phelps. He was a member of Forrest Park Baptist Church in Bowling Green, KY and a ordained minister. He ministered at several churches in Butler County and surrounding counties. Howard was a graduate of  Butler County High School class of 1975, Friendship Bible College and attended Western Kentucky University.


Vernon P. Jones

Vernon P. Jones, 74, of Roundhill, KY passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Vernon was born December 13, 1945 in Butler County, KY to the late George and Beulah Booth Jones. He attended Leonard Oak General Baptist Church and was retired from the Bowling Green Housing Authority. Vernon enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a Harley Davidson collector  He also enjoyed buying and trading. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one sister - Catherine Collinsworth and two brothers - William N. Jones and David Jones.


Ruth Ann Ross

Ruth Ann Ross, 80, of Morgantown, KY passed away Tuesday April 28, 2020 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, KY. She was born March 11, 1940 in Graham, Kentucky in Muhlenberg County to the late Opal Vincent Camplin. Ruth was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, crocheting and spending time with family.


Richie Dean Milam Burnett

Richie Dean Milam Burnett, 79, of Morgantown, KY, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. She was born in Butler Co., Ky.


Arvel Bratcher Jr.

Arvel Bratcher Jr. of Morgantown died peacefully in his sleep, with his wife Christine at his side, on April 24, 2020. He was born March 16, 1931, the oldest son of Arvel Sr. and Fanny Dellah Hawks of the Leonard Oak Community in Butler County, KY. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 40 years Christine Pagel Bratcher, son Dennis (Sharon) Bratcher, daughters Donna Bratcher, Denise Bratcher, Danielle Bratcher, Bonnie (Eric Anderson) Conklin and Racine (Brad) Miller of Michigan.
