Revil L. Pharris Sr.

Revil L. Pharris Sr. 78 of Morgantown, KY passed away Tuesday December 10, 2019 at his residence. He was born March 11, 1941 in Butler County, Kentucky to the union of the late Jake and Courtney Geary Pharris and husband of the late Bernice Daugherty Pharris. Revil attended Christian Home Church of Christ & Oak Ridge General Baptist Church. He was a retired carpenter and enjoy doing his job and helping others. Revil loved farming and going to tractor shows.

William Engler, 50 of Brownsville, KY formerly of Butler County passed away Monday December 9, 2019 at his residence. William was born August 4, 1969 in Tokyo, Japan to the late Elguan and Karen Ferre Engler. He was a drywall hanger and finisher and loved NASCAR Racing. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by a special nephew Joshua Johnson.

Joseph Larry Shirley Jr., 57 of Austin, Arkansas formerly of Rochester, Kentucky passed away Saturday December 7, 2019 at his residence. Joseph was born March 18, 1962 in Schweinfurt, Germany to the late Joseph L. Shirley and Lottie Shirley Hall who survives.  After graduating from Butler County High School in Morgantown, KY he joined the United States Army and then joined the United States Air Force for a combined 18 years. Joseph was employed at Central Laundry Equipment in Ward, Arkansas for the following 19 years. He loved cooking, his dogs and watching all sports.

One of the many famous quotes of Exie Ruth Kitchens Hawes who passed away Saturday December 7, 2019 at the Signature Health Care in Morgantown, KY at the age of 101 years and 11 months. Born in Dunbar, KY of Butler County on January 6, 1918 of the seven children, she was the only daughter of Ustus Waterson and Gusta Mae Ruley Kitchens. Exie always said she was born on a cold day and her parents tried to keep her from freezing to death.

Estill "Pete" Barks, age 82 of Bowling Green, Ky, formerly of Butler Co. Ky. passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 3, 2019 at Greenwood Nursing and Rehab in Bowling Green, Ky. Pete was born March 24, 1937, in the Sugar Grove community of Butler Co. Ky, to the union of the late Alton and Ola Myrl Pendley Barks. He retired after many years of service from Hildreth Hopper Oil Company as a truck Driver, was a U.S Army veteran, serving in Korea after the Korean War in the 1950's.
