 Merlyn Marie Francis, 96 of Quality, Kentucky passed away Sunday January 5, 2020 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Merlyn was born February 22, 1923 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Herschel and Athna Warren Barrow and wife of the late Verlin Francis.

Charles Henry Cardwell

Charles Henry Cardwell, 87, of Indianapolis went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2020. He was born in Morgantown, KY on May 13, 1932 to the late B.B. and Annie Cardwell. Charles honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War Conflict. He was married to his loving wife, Betty, for 66 years. He will be missed by all the lives he has touched.


Jerry Herbert Colburn

Jerry Herbert Colburn, 70 of Roundhill, Kentucky passed away Wednesday January 1, 2020 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Jerry was born Friday September 9, 1949 in the Jetson Community of Butler County, KY to the union of Herbert and Kathleen Whittinghill Colburn. He was a member of Christian Home Church of Christ and a farmer. Jerry loved the Lord and was one of the song leaders at Christian Home Church of Christ. He loved horses, mules, cattle, coon hunting, farming and spending time with family and friends.


Jerry M. Fugate

Jerry M. Fugate, 88, of Morgantown, KY passed away Tuesday December 31, 2019 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Jerry was born March 30, 1931 in Perry County, Kentucky to the late John B. and Canzelia Fugate and husband of the late Gay Ann Speaks Fugate. He was a member of Morgantown Church of Christ and a retired business owner. Jerry loved hiking, kayaking and his dogs.


Clara Jones Oney

Clara Jones Oney, 91 of Bowling Green, KY  passed away Friday December 27, 2019 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. She was born June 23, 1928 in the Logansport Community in Butler County to the union of Shelby Sr. and Claudia House Jones and wife of the late Aubrey C. Oney. She was a member of the Elks Lodge, Kentucky Colonel and a avid golfer. Clara enjoyed all the churches in Myrtle Beach visiting and taking part in. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by two brothers Shelby Jones Jr and Robbie Jones; sister Rachel Arvin; two nephews Gerald M.


James M. Pendley

James M. Pendley, 85, of Morgantown passed away peacefully Friday, December 27, 2019 at Hospice House in Bowling Green.

The Butler county native was a son of the late Louis Clyde and Annie Mae Martin Pendley and was preceded in death by his brothers, William Lewis Pendley and Gillis Odell Pendley.


Chloe Renea Henderson

Chloe Renea Henderson, 12, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tn.  She was born in Warren Co., Ky. on May 4, 2007 to Charles Henderson and Kim Dockery Henderson.  Chloe loved being read to, listening to music, having her feet rubbed and her hair fixed. Chloe loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by grandfather Eugene Henderson; great grandfathers Dallas Burden, Joyce Dockery, Chester Henderson and great grandmother Pauline Henderson.


Maise Renfrow Phelps

Maise Renfrow Phelps, 72, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at her residence in Morgantown. She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on May 18, 1947 to the late Hubert Renfrow and Vernie Lindsey Renfrow.  Maise was a devoted mother and loving grandmother. She was kind, humble and caring. Maise treated others the way she wanted to be treated. She loved her family and loved to laugh. She enjoyed watching westerns and spending time with her family.


Richard Avery Elder

Richard Avery Elder, beloved son of Mary Elder met his lord and savior on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at his residence in Morgantown. He was born in Chicago, In. on May 16, 1959. He was a Navy Veteran and was baptized at the age of 9 at Black Oak Baptist Church in Northern Indiana. He loved music, listening to sports on the radio and reading about history.  Richard was a former insurance salesman for Western and Southern Insurance Company.  He was preceded in death by his father Jesse Elder; brothers Mark Thomas Elder and Dale Elder.
