The Scouts from Troops 208 Morgantown and Troop 597 Edmonson County joined together to earn both their Kayaking and Whitewater Rafting Merit Badges.  The scouts first had to be Safety Afloat Certified and had to pass the Boy Scouts of America Swim Test. 

Butler County High School held homecoming activities on Friday night during rain and wind.  The 2020 Queen is Miss Leslee Washer. She is the daughter of Floyd and Sheila Washer of Morgantown. The 2020 King is Jonah Akers. He is the son of Kimberly Beltcher, of Morgantown.

Michele Moore, Butler County Extension Nutrition Education Program Assistant, has been promoted to a Senior Assistant.

Michele has been employed with the University of Kentucky since April 6, 2015.  In her position, she provides nutritional education to Butler County residents.  Michele not only conducts nutritional meetings at the Extension Office, but also teaches throughout the community.  While COVID has caused some changes, nutritional classes are still being conducted virtually and in-person, following distancing guidelines.
