Are e-cigarettes less harmful than cigarettes? E-cigarettes do produce less toxins than those that are found in cigarette smoke, but it is becoming increasingly apparent that e-cigarettes are still dangerous to use, especially for youth. The most recent evidence suggests that e-cigarettes come with their own unique health harms, in addition to some of those that go along with cigarettes. E-cigarettes contain nicotine as well as potentially toxic chemicals. They are not just water vapor! Evidence of potential health risks as well as lung injury related to e-cigarette use continue to increase.
