3rd District Public Meeting, Hosted by Magistrate Chad Tyree: The meeting is being held to discuss and hear ideas for the Kentucky Department of Transportation’s Six Year Road Plan.  In addition to discussing the road plan, there will be an opportunity to talk with your 3rd District Magistrate about county needs.

Concert Season Finale Features Resurrection Bound

If the man in the moon likes good gospel singing he had to look no further than Saturday’s concert on the courthouse lawn. The featured group, Resurrection Bound, made their second appearance of the year. The concert, the last in the series for the year, was well attended and most appreciated.

Emcee, Doug Odle, encouraged everyone to “settle back and have a good time” and for over one and a half hours they did. The group consists of Chad Bridges, Donna Embry, Alan Romans and Terry Vanmeter. (pictured above)

Thank You, from the McKinney Family

Robert Joel McKinney was born July 3, 1937 and passed away September 3, 2011. His parents were the late Jewel and Howard Echolis “Eck” McKinney of Aberdeen, Kentucky. Robert was survived by his wife, Christy E. McKinney of Greensboro, North Carolina ;  his brother, Darrel C. McKinney of Aberdeen, Kentucky; his sister Deborah M. Dockery of Morgantown, Kentucky;  and several nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by one brother, Anthony “Tony” McKinney.

The Butler County Health Department reminds the public to practice good health habits to prevent the spread of flu at home, work and school.  “As the flu season approaches, we are urging residents to practice good hygiene habits, such as coughing or sneezing into their elbows and washing hands often,” said Dennis Chaney, Barren River District Health Department Director.
