The Wolf Den of Cub Scout Pack 208 did road side trash pick up in Morgantown on Tuesday evening.  The boys are working on their "Leave No Trace" badge.

The students and staff at Head Start celebrated October 1^st by taking a hayride around town and a picnic in the park.  Steve Matthews, donated his time and trailer to take the children on a hayride around town and they ended up at the park!

A wedding shower will be held for Paige Embry and Eric Salmons on October 13th at 2 p.m. at the Aberdeen Baptist Church Ministry Center.  The couple is registered at Target, Kohls, and Belk.

What is yarn bombing?  It is a type of fiber art that employs colorful displays of knitted or crocheted yarn or fiber. Why Yarn Bomb?  Yarn bombing is a way to create and promote hand made products and fiber art.  To collaborate with other crafters and artists and to temporarily brighten and beautify the environment or landscape.

The Butler County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently celebrated Constitution Week by visiting students at Morgantown Elementary School. The program began with 2nd graders learning the history of the Star Spangled Banner and its origins in our country. This was from 9:55 AM to 10:45 AM.

When Mr. Tom told us he couldn’t return us to our parents, my spirit sank. “I’d love to return you, but I’ve got a big load to retrieve from a packing plant!” he said. “It’s in the opposite direction from your parents’ house. We’re already several hours away from Grover’s. If I take you back to Grover’s, I’ll miss my deadline and lose that plant’s business.”

On Wednesday, August 14th, the Butler County 4-H Rabbit-Ears left going to the KY State Fair.  We had 50 rabbits entered in 2 days of competition.  On Thursday, we competed in the ARBA Open Show where we won 47 ribbons.  On Friday, we competed in the State 4-H Rabbit Show, where we won 29 ribbons.
The Rabbit-Ears brought home a total of 76 ribbons from the Kentucky State Fair.  We now have an awesome opportunity to represent the state of Kentucky at the ARBA National Competition in Harrisburg, PA on October 17-23.
