Celebrate Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles, in Bowling Green

Sukkot (pronounced "Sue-coat") is a joyous festival during which Jewish people build booths, remembering the 40 years of wandering in the wilderness under Moses.  It is a time of thanking God for His provision and care.

Hope in Messiah Congregation invites you to join them in observing Sukkot at its special service on Friday, September 20 at 6:30p. at 2107 Old Louisville Road in Bowling Green.  There is no charge and everyone is invited.

BCHS Student's Art Work Part of National Show In Washington

Supt. Scott Howard, Megan Cockrell, and Catron Burdette.

Butler County High School Junior Megan Cockrell, 17, was recognized by the Butler County Board of Education on Tuesday night.  Megan’s art work has received national recognition and will be part of a special art show in Washington, D.C. in November.   

“We are very proud of Megan and are making plans for her to attend the showing in Washington,” said Superintendent Scott Howard.

BC Young Farmer Association Cookout

The Butler County Young Farmer Association is having a cookout Saturday, September 21st starting at 5:00 pm at the Eva Hawes building at the City Park. Come out and enjoy an evening of good food and fun with the Butler County Chapter of the Kentucky Young Farmer Association. There will be inflatables for the kids, cornhole for the adults, door prizes will be given away and there will be several quality items up for auction from our sponsors. Just a couple items of mention are an ATV sprayer from the Green River Feed Mill, a Garmin GPS from Crop Production Services and many others as well.

BC Retired Teachers Meeting

 The Butler County Retired Teachers Association will meet on Monday, September 16th, @ 12:00 noon in the Board Room of the B.C. Educational Complex. Lunch will be served by Green River Caterers. All retirees are invited and encouraged to attend. Newly retired members attending for the first time will receive a complimentary lunch. House & Brown Wedding

Neil and Lecia House would like to invite to the wedding of their daughter Valarie House to Cory Brown, son of the late Charles Brown and Donna Cox. The wedding will take place on Saturday, Sept 14 at 10:00 am at the Boogie Barn. A reception will follow.

Richland Baptist Church Homecoming

Sunday, September 15th will be Homecoming at Richland Baptist Church.  Morning worship service will be at 10 am, and special singing with the Johnson Family at 11 am. There will be a meal following the morning services.  Bro. Jim McDaniel and Richland Church invites everyone to join us and enjoy a great day of worship.
