The annual Green River Ramble took place on Saturday, June 3, on the Green River. A total of 45 participants (canoes and kayaks) made the 7-mile river journey from Woodbury to Morgantown.  The event is sponsored by Morgantown Trail Town.  All ages loaded up in boats, canoes, and kayaks.

Goss tosses 5.0 scoreless frames, Hot Rods take 2-1 series lead over Rome 

Bowling Green, Kentucky – Willy Vasquez collected his second three-hit game of the year and J.J. Goss spun 5.0 scoreless innings to carry the Bowling Green Bootleggers (21-23) to a 3-0 victory over the Rome Braves (23-25) on Thursday night at Bowling Green Ballpark. 

The Butler County Track Team has been making remarkable strides this season, with outstanding performances and notable achievements.

The Butler County High School Trap Team recently won 1st place in their conference and will move on to state on June 10th in Berea, Kentucky.

A three-peat it was on Thursday night, May 18, as the Butler County Bears softball team defeated host Edmonson County 11-5 to claim its third consecutive district championship.  The Bears advanced to the championship game following a first-round 9-5 win over Whitesville Trinity on Tuesday.

The Butler County High School Baseball team honored their seniors.

Butler County High School Bass Fishing team members, Ty Griffin and Avery Gibbs, two of the team's standout members, qualified for the Kentucky High School Atheltic Association state tournament. They are competing May 12 and 13 at Kentucky Lake with their boat Captain Jerry Gibbs.

Their hard work and dedication paid off in a big way this season, taking seventh place in the Regional Tournament.

The Butler County Softball team honored their four seniors on Thursday night, May 4, prior to the Russellville game.
