Brock Jones Smokes Three-Run Homer, Bootleggers Topple Drive 8-3

Davitt ties career-high with 5.0 frames, Battles notches fifth three-hit games 

Bowling Green, Kentucky – Brock Jones started the scoring for the Bowling Green Bootleggers (15-12, 46-42) in the bottom of the second with a three-run homer and the offense didn’t stop there, beating the Greenville Drive (13-14, 49-44) 8-3 on Thursday at Bowling Green Ballpark. 

Greenville began the scoring in the top of the second off Bowling Green starter Duncan Davitt. Eddinson Paulino smacked a solo homer to make it a 1-0 game.

Busy July for BCHS Football

2023 preseason high school summer football workouts began in July across the state - and that includes Butler County.  The KHSAA allows all fall sports to begin daily workouts on Monday, July 10.  Football daily workouts began in helmets, t-shirts & shorts only in the month of July. Shoulder pads are allowed later, and full gear workouts begin August 1.

Mason Johnson finishes 6th in USA High School Clay Target League National Championship

The 2023 USA High School Clay Target League National Championship occurred in Mason, MI, July 5th-9th, with 1,800 student-athletes participating in the individual competition. Overall more than 460 high schools from across the country were represented.

On Saturday, July 8th, 1,800 top high school athletes competed in the USAHSCTL National Individual Championship Qualifying round. Of those, just 400 made it to the Sunday afternoon final.
