BCHS Runners Head to Cross Country KHSAA State Meet

BCHS Senior Nolan Johnson, returns to the Class A State Cross Country Meet for his third year in a row. Qualifying his sophomore, junior and senior year.  The Class A Boys State Cross Country Meet will be held Saturday, November 7th at Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky.  The Class A Boys run will begin at 10:15am eastern standard time.

Week 10: From the sidelines... Henderson & Hixenbaugh Set School Records

Rex Henderson and David Evans

Rex Henderson broke the school record for the most touchdown passes in a season on Friday night.  David Evans, who held the record of 24 touch down passes from the 1968 season, was on hand Friday night to watch the game and congratulate Rex.  Henderson now holds the record at 26 touch down passes in a season.

"I came to watch the record be broken, Rex is a great young man, and I wanted to be here to congratulate him," said Evans.

Rex in 10 games/ Passing-151 completions, 255 attempts, 2,478 yards passing, Avg. 248 yds per game thru 10 games, 26 TD Passes,  4 interceptions

Bears Escape 31-27 over Eagles

The Butler Co. Bears ended the regular season with a heart stopping come from behind win by the score of 31-27 over the Ohio Co. Eagles on Senior Night. The Eagles wasted no time taking the opening drive sixty-eight yards in seven plays to take a 7-0 lead with 8:28 in the first quarter of play. The Bears on their first possession drove to their own fourteen yard line, but on fourth down could not convert and turned the ball over on downs to the Eagles.

Bears vs. Ballard Memorial

BCHS will host a  1st round KHSAA State Football Playoff game, Friday, Nov. 6th. Kickoff is at 7pm.  Butler Co. vs Ballard Memorial HS.
NOTE* Please note that due to the regular season now over. BCHS Football Season Passes will NOT be accepted  at this home event. KHSAA Coaching Cards will be allowed, but for the card holder ONLY.

Butler County High School Fall Sport Senior Night

Prior to Butler County Bears’ last regular season football game against Ohio County the seniors and their parents of the fall sports were honored.

Bears roll 49-10 over Todd

The Bears locked up the runner up slot in the district with a strong win over the Todd County Central Rebels 49-10. The win secures home field advantage as the number two seed for the first round of the K.H.S.A.A. State Playoffs on Friday, November 6th. More details to come later.

Week 9: From the sidelines...

Jr. Pro players recognized at half time.

Butler County hosted Todd County on Friday night in their last regular season district game.  The Bears easily took command of the game and never looked back winning 49-10 over the Rebels.  The BCHS Marching Band, Butler County NJROTC, cheerleaders, and fans were all on hand to support the Bears.  At half time the Butler County Jr. Pro players and coaches were recognized.  Here are a few pictures from the sidelines…

Bears 62 McLean Co. 24

   The Butler Co. Bears improved to 6-2 overall  on the season with  a key district win over the McLean Co. Cougars 62-24 this past Friday night on the road at McLean Co. HS.

On a very chilly Friday night the Butler County Bears and a few loyal fans headed to McLean County.  The Bears, now 6-2 on the season, picked up the win 62-24 over the Cougars.  Here is a few pictures from the sidelines…
