Trust for Life & KODA Senate Bill Passed

Louisville, KY- February 20, 2019) – The Kentucky Circuit Court Clerks’ Trust For Life and Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA) are excited to announce Kentucky Senate Bill 77 passed unanimously in the House Committee for Health and Family Services. This groundbreaking bill will amend KRS 311.1947 to expand organ donor registration to the Commonwealth's single sign-on system and will become effective January 1, 2020.

KSP Conducts Officer Involved Shooting Investigation in Butler County

Morgantown, KY.  (February 22, 2019)—On Thursday evening at approximately 11:30 P.M. (CST),  Kentucky State Police, Post 3 troopers and detectives, along with members of the KSP Critical Incident Response Team were dispatched to Beaver Dam Road near the Aberdeen community of Butler County to investigate an officer involved shooting.  The shooting incident had taken place near 1941 Beaver Dam Road, and involved a Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources Conservation Officer.  Officer Jonathan Barks had attempted to establish contact with Joseph P.

$100 Mile Litter Pickup

Butler County Fiscal Court will once again be participating in the $100 Mile Litter Pickup program. This is for non-profit organizations only. Organizations may complete a LITTER ABATEMENT REGISTRATION FORM during the week of March 4th to March 8th only. You may complete a registration &  w-9 (if you are new) form during the business hours of 8:00 am & 4:00 pm.   PLEASE HAVE ONLY ONE PERSON PER GROUP, STOP BY THE OCCUPATIONAL TAX OFFICE AND COMPLETE A CONTACT FORM. Roads will be issued in April. Clean up will be on State and County roads.

BC Schools cancel classes due to illness, low attendance

Students will be getting an unexpected break this week as widespread illness and low attendance have prompted Butler County Schools' Superintendent Scott Howard to cancel classes for the remainder of the week.
