Drake's Farm Service: Investing in Butler County

Denny Drake, third generation manager, would like to thank all the farmers, hunters, customers and employees for making Drake’s Farm Service a success and the place toshop for the last 77 years.  No business would prosper this long without community support.

Everyone has been wondering what is being built at 90 Old River Road. Denny replied , “it’s a completely enclosed fertilizer blending plant that is environmentally friendly.”

The building covers 12,000 square feet and will have a capacity to hold over 3,000 tons of storage.

If construction stays on course it will be operational in October. Next to the building is going to be a helicopter pad that Drakes is making available to Emergency Air-Vac for patient transport.

When the new plant is operational they will be expanding their service area to surrounding counties.

There is also a 48 foot flag pole that is proudly flying the American Flag.

Drakes is a multi-functional business that still has that down-home atmosphere, whether you are looking for hunting or camo gear , seasonal plants , household paint, chainsaws, heavy duty mowers, deer blinds and many other items and of course fertilizer and sprays.

Drake’s Farm Service, located at 340 Logansport Road, is on Facebook.  They can be reached at 270-526-3741.
