CALHOUN - Butler County passed its first test in the 3rd Region Softball Tournament at McLean County on Monday afternoon, pulling away to defeat Meade County 9-4. Thriving late, Butler County scored eight of its nine runs over the last three innings.

BROWNSVILLE - Butler County was limited to one hit as Grayson County held on to win 2-0 in the 12th District Softball Tournament title game at Edmonson County High School on Thursday. With the loss, Butler County dropped to 18-10. Grayson County improved to 17-8 with the win.

Butler County Bassmasters held their third Team Trail tournament of the 2018 season at Nolin Lake on Saturday May the 19th. The fish are in all stages of the spawn, with the bigger ones still on bed or pre-spawn.
