Donald Leon Gibbons

Donald Leon Gibbons, 93, of Greenville, formerly of Ashland, KY, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, September 26, at home under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky.

He was born August 29, 1929, in Vandalia, IL, the son of the late Donald and Letha Bledsoe Gibbons. He was a pipefitter for 39 years with Ashland Oil Refining Company. He was a faithful member of the choir and the Fellowship Sunday School Class of Greenville United Methodist Church. He loved woodworking, caning, and was fondly known simply as Grandpa who could fix anything. He never met a stranger.

Donald Wayne Smith

Donald Wayne Smith, age 82, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022 at his residence.  He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on May 15, 1940 to the late William Riley and Dorothy Dye Smith.  Donald retired from the State Highway Dept. and loved to rabbit hunt with his beagles.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Estle "Ray" Smith, age 76 of Eddyville, KY formerly of Morgantown, KY passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at the Mercy Health  - Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. Ray was born on Wednesday, November 28, 1945 in Louisville, KY to the union of the late Estill and Ola Mable Steff Smith. He was a member of Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church, United States Navy Veteran and he retired from the Peabody Coal Company.

Nancy Kay Snodgrass Byrd

The world lost a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Nancy Kay Snodgrass Byrd, on September 10, 2022. She was 67 years old.  Nancy loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, and her family fiercely. She was a lady of few words and many many acts of love and kindness. Although Nancy was very strong, causing her siblings to avoid fighting with her while growing up, her self-control and chosen gentleness were among her many gifts. Nancy was a member of Oak Ridge General Baptist Church and loved watching hummingbirds and sewing. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Charles Randall Lindsey

Charles Randall Lindsey, age 60 of Morgantown, KY passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. He was born on Sunday December 24, 1961 in Butler County, KY to the late Charles B. and Wilma Renfrow Lindsey. Charles was a retired coal miner and enjoyed farming and being outdoors. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one brother Rondall Lindsey.

Lillie Lorine Garner Smith, age 51, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Morgantown Care and Rehab.  She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on Dec. 26, 1970 to the late Lonnie Wayne Garner and surviving mother Martha Jane Embry Garner. Lille was a caregiver and liked to spend time with her granddaughter and friends.  She is preceded in death by her father, husbands Anthony Ray Huff, Sr. and Johnny Ray Smith; brother Freddie Gidcumb.

Sidney Carmon Clark, age 88 of Rockfield, KY  passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Signature Health Care of Bowling Green, KY. Sidney was born on Monday, January 1, 1934 in Butler County, KY to the union of the late James C. and Sarah Elizabeth Hawes Staples. She was a member of Clear Fork Baptist Church in Rockfield, KY and retired from the Warren County Public Schools. Sidney enjoyed gardening, hummingbirds, cooking, flowers and ice cream. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings J.C., Carlisle, Bronie Earl, Exie, Freeda, Bill and Freeman.

Mary Lou Hampton

Mary Lou Hampton, age 82, of Rochester, Ky. passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the Muhlenberg County Hospital.  She was born in Todd Co., Ky. on Nov. 24, 1939 to the late Frank and Margaret Butler Hampton .  Mary was a member of the Drakesboro Church of Christ and was self employed.  Mary loved antiques, loved her dogs and enjoyed nature. She is preceded in death by her parents and  brother Tommy Hampton.
