Estle "Ray" Smith, age 76 of Eddyville, KY formerly of Morgantown, KY passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at the Mercy Health  - Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. Ray was born on Wednesday, November 28, 1945 in Louisville, KY to the union of the late Estill and Ola Mable Steff Smith. He was a member of Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church, United States Navy Veteran and he retired from the Peabody Coal Company. Ray loved fishing, playing cards, working and taking care of his 100 or more fruit tress but most of all spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. 

Estle "Ray" Smith is survived by his wife of 51 years Pat Daugherty Smith of Eddyville, KY; one son Sam Smith and wife Becky of Eddyville, KY; two grandchildren Austin Smith of Denver, CO and Emily Smith of Eddyville, KY; four brothers Tony Smith wife Carol of Flint Springs, KY, Frankie Smith wife Gaye of Baizetown, KY, Ronnie Smith wife Theresa of Lewisburg, KY and Paul Smith wife Brenda of Baizetown, KY and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 11:00am with Bro. Mike Daugherty and Bro. Donnie Wilkins officiating. Burial will be in the New Liberty Church Cemetery where David White, Rick Smith, Lucas Smith, Jimmy Smith, Michael Goff and Buck Daugherty will serve as pallbearers.  Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday 9:00am until funeral time at 11:00am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
