David C. Renfrow

David C. Renfrow 63 passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2011, in Louisville, Kentucky.  The Butler County native was a retired painter.

He was the son of the late Rev. Edward Renfrow and Evanice Phelps Renfrow who survives.  Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 16, 2011 at Renfrow Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Sons: John Renfrow (Karen) of Shively, KY, Robin House (Amber) of Ohio,Robert House (Missy) of Brandenburg, KY

James L. Chandler

Mr. James L. Chandler, age 78 of Franklin, died Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at the Hospice Center of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home where services will be held Thursday at 2pm with Bro. Winston Roberts officiating.

Burial will follow in Blackjack Cemetery.  A native of Hartsville, TN, he was the son of the late James W. Chandler and Katie Johns Chandler.  He was a Mason and a farmer.

Gregory Shane Neighbors

Gregory Shane Neighbors 41,  of Morgantown, Kentucky, died Tuesday, September  13, 2011, in a Warren County accident. The Butler County native was born June 23, 1970 .

He currently worked at Aleris Recycling and had previously worked at Delta Faucets as a supervisor for 18 years. He was a Member of Morgantown United Methodist Church.

He was the son of  the late Douglas Neighbors  and Judy Shain Tarrence. He was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents, Jimmy and Joyce Neighbors, Herbert & Delphia Shain.

Richard D. Casey

Richard D. Casey, 85, of Beaver Dam, KY, passed away, Sunday, September 11, 2011 at his residence. Richard was born April 24, 1926 in Ohio Co., to the late Roy and Famie Austin Casey. On April 21, 1945 Richard married his wife of 66 years, Anna Rhea Casey.

Richard was the Pastor of the Beaver Dam Community Church for 48 years. He was an avid guitarist in the thumbpicking style, and a retired salesman for the Collins Company, a division of RCA.

Place of Birth: Butler Co., Ky.

Occupation: CMA at Morgantown Care and Rehab for 12 yrs.

Religious Affiliation: Member of Leonard Oak Baptist Church

Parents: Samuel and Ruth Coleman Cardwell (both deceased)

Funeral Service: Wednesday at 1:00 pm @ Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Joy Cardwell officiating.

Visitation: Tuesday 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Wednesday from 8:00 am until funeral time.

Mary Ellen Droege

Mary Ellen Droege, 76 of the Russellville Rd. Morgantown, Kentucky died on Saturday, September 10, 2011, at her residence.
She was born Thursday, November 29, 1934 in Butler Co., Kentucky, the daughter of the late George Ewing and the late Edna Harper Ewing. She was the wife of the late Walter Droege.
She was a retired clerk at several Department Stores in Evansville, IN.

Walton Jackson Jenkins

Walton Jackson Jenkins 71 of Morgantown passed away at his residence on Saturday, September 10, 2011.  The Butler County native was the son of the late Jackie and Lula Orange Jenkins. 
He was a drywall installer and of the Presbyterian faith.
Funeral service: Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at 1:00 pm at Caney Fork Presbyterian Church . Burial will be in the Caney Fork Cemetery
Visitation: Monday from 2:30 pm until 8:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home.  He will lie in state at the Caney Fork Presbyteriam Church from 11:00am until funeral time on Tuesday.

Marvin Eugene Elder

Marvin Eugene Elder, 70 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at his son's residence in Scottsville, Ky. 
He was a Butler County native, son of the late Dud and Carrie Phelps Elder.
He was a member of Cool Springs General Baptist Church and Woodbury Masonic Lodge and retired breadman. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Ky 5872 Scottsville Rd. Bowling Green, Ky 42104. He was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Elder.

William Randel Goodall

William Randel Goodall, 72,  of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was a Warren County native, son of the late Lawrence and Nola Haynes Goodall and a member of Woodbury Missionary Baptist Church. Goodall was a U. S. Army Veteran and retired from Holley Carburetors after 38 years. He was preceded in death by four brothers:   David, Ernest, Kenneth and Roenell Goodall; and one sister, Margie Goodall.

Zakry Jon Adkins, 14 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Monday, September 5, 2011, at his residence. 
He was a Daviess County native. Zakry attended Morgantown First Baptist Church and was an 8th grade student at Butler County Middle School.
Zakry Jon Adkins is survived by his mother Joyce R. Hallam of Morgantown, Ky; 3 sisters Stacey Bridges of Morgantown, Ky, Niki Adkins of Morgantown, Ky and Brandie Jo Bacon of Illinois; 3 brothers Chad Ray Bridges and wife Ashley of Morgantown, Ky, Richard Grimwood of North Carolina and JJ Dunn and wife Low of Alaska.
