Steven Barks age 59 of Maryville passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Blount Memorial Hospital.  He retired from the United States Air Force. Steven volunteered with the Habitat for Humanity and local prison ministry.  He liked to play golf with his sons and was of the Baptist faith.  He was employed as Linx/Unix Global Director with Elavon Technology.  Steven was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed.  Preceded in death by:  Father, James Watson Barks. 

Survivors include:  Wife of 33 years, Susan Barks; Sons, Bryan & Alene Barks of Catoosa, OK, Jeremy & Fiancé Samantha Godsey of Bowling Green, Robert & Ashley Barks of Maryville; Eric Barks & Megan Burnett of Maryville, and Garrett Barks of Maryville; Grandchildren, Embry, Conner, Madelyn, Alexander, Kaelin, Aurora, and Pippa; Mother, Josephine Embry Barks of Morgantown; Brothers & Sisters-in-law, James Anthony & Katie Barks, Paul & Vonda Barks, Wayne & Tammy Barks all of Morgantown, KY; Sisters & Brother-in-law, Genise Cowles of Bowling Green, KY and Ruby & Eddie Daugherty of Morgantown, KY.
