Ronald Gene Weathers, 83, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green. He was born in Detroit, MI. on Feb. 28, 1936 to the late Houston and Viola Flener Weathers. Ronald was a member of Aberdeen Baptist Church, retired from TVA and was a farmer. He was in the United States Army where he served during the Korean War. He was also an avid UK fan. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alice Taylor Weathers of Morgantown; sons Gregg Weathers (Korey) of Beaver Dam and Doug Weathers (Janet) of Morgantown; grandchildren Ashley Weathers, Easton Weathers (Leigh) and Walker Weathers all of Morgantown; step grandchildren Jordan, Jessica and J.Dylan James all of Beaver Dam; great granddaughter Addison; step great grandson Korbin; sister Barbara Riddle of Morgantown and niece Elizabeth.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 3 at 1pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Embry and Bro. Roger Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Aberdeen Cemetery where Military Honors will be presented by the Ohio Co Honor Guard. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, April 2 from 4:30pm-8pm and Wednesday 8am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
