Evangelist Kelly Green will hold revival at the Morgantown Church of the Nazarene April 22-25. 

This week marked the beginning of preschool for children ages 2.5 to 5 at Butler County High School. Children attending playschool come one day each week for four weeks where they have the opportunity to learn and play with other children their age. High school students in Mrs. Kimberlea Embry's parenting/child development classes create developmentally appropriate activities for the 70 playschool children.

With only 24 instructional days left in the 2011-12 Butler County School year, students, teachers and administrators are busy with end-of-year preparations ranging from state testing, prom, and graduation.   Spring sports are nearing their mid-way point, as well, with various post-season competitions slated for mid-May.

The Little Muddy RD Club met March 19th, 2012 at 6:30 p.m.  There were 20 people present.  The meeting began with Jared Hudnall leading the club in the pledge to the American flag.  Greg Drake gave the blessing for the meal. After the meal President Sean Weeks called the business meeting to order. The minutes were read by Secretary, Donnita Weeks and approved.   The birthdays and anniversaries were announced and celebrated with song. The club thanked the hostess for the night Mary Hatcher.

Members of the Butler County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution attended an awards ceremony in Lexington on March 31. Several Butler Countians placed in competition.

Butler County Conservation District will be having a Tree Giveaway Thursday, April 12th from 8:30 am until 4 pm, (or until we run out), at the Conservation District Office at 216 W. Ohio St. Suite C, Morgantown.

Easter Egg Hunt/ Saturday April 07 @ 10:30am

Brent and Lisa (Graham-Gibbs) Young of Sugar Grove are pleased to announce the forth coming marriage of their daughter, Brittany Paige Gibbs to Jeremy Dale Alexander.

Brittany is a 2005 graduate of Butler County High School. In 2009 she received her Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration and a Minor in Business from Western Kentucky University, which is where she and Jeremy met in the summer of 2007. She is employed by Donaldson Capital Management in Evansville, IN as an Accounting Services Manager.

People interested in gardening and basic food preservation should make plans to attend the 2012 Garden and Food Preservation program on Wednesday, April 11th at the Butler County Extension Service from 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. 

There will be a wedding shower for Paula Elaine Minton and Jamie Givens on April 7, 2012. The shower will be at the Morgantown Church of Christ at 2 pm. They are registered at Wall-Mart and Macy's.
