COUNTDOWN ... 24 instructional days; BCHS Graduation set for May 18

With only 24 instructional days left in the 2011-12 Butler County School year, students, teachers and administrators are busy with end-of-year preparations ranging from state testing, prom, and graduation.   Spring sports are nearing their mid-way point, as well, with various post-season competitions slated for mid-May.

The last day for students is scheduled for May 17, 2012. Please note the Butler County Board of Education meets on Tuesday night April 17th.  They will decide whether or not to have students attend school on May 18 or to use one of the banked days.   With no snow days to contend with this year, it the earliest students will celebrate summer break in the past few years. 

A few dates to mark on your calendar:

April 28th- Butler County High School Prom, followed by Project Prom
May 17th- Tentative date for BCMS 8th Grade Recognition
April 30-May 17th- State Testing window for Butler County students ( BCHS April 30-May 4) (BCMS, MES, NBES May 7-11)
May 10th- Honors Night at BCHS 5:30 p.m.
May 10th- Senior Night at BCHS 7:00 p.m.
May 18th- Butler County High School Graduation 7:30 p.m. at the gym
