Jump Start has been changed to Friday, August 3, 2012.  It will be conducted from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm and lunch will be served. Jump Start is an opportunity for Sixth graders to meet their new teachers, new principal, assistant principal, and new classmates.

There will be a baby shower in honor of Kasey Embry Inman on Saturday July 21st, at Belmont Church. Please join us at 1:00 pm as we shower Kasey with gifts for her little girl. Kasey is registered at Toys R Us, Target, and Wal-Mart.

Morgantown Cumberland Presbyterian Church would like to announce their worship times on Sundays. Worship service will begin at 11 am and Sunday School at 10 am.

All descendants of Robert Edward Taylor and Nell Rone Taylor are invited to attend a family reunion on September 15th, 2012. The Provo Community Center has been reserved.  It will be a pot luck meal, with the children of Bobby Rone Taylor and Allie Johnson Taylor providing fried chicken for all. Doris Taylor Stahl, formerly of Butler County, is proud to announce the graduation of her granddaughter, Taylor Marie Halbig, on May 19th, from St. Pius X Catholic High School in Atlanta. During her four years she was the proud recipient of many awards and was honored to have been selected to participate in the prestigious Governors Honors program between her Jr. and Sr. years.

Taylor graduated in the top 2 percent of her class and will attend the University of Georgia in the fall. We wish her all the best.

For just the second time since 1971, the Green River Catfish Festival hosted a County Fair Exhibit. The exhibit was held in the Eva J. Hawes Community Center. Over 300 items were received and on display during the exhibit.

Event Coordinator Tracy Thornton said, "I am very pleased with the number of entries. We hope that this event continues to grow in the years to come."
