BCHS Playschool Graduation

On Friday, parents and children from around the county gathered at the Butler County High School Auditorium for the 40th Annual Playschool Graduation.  55 students, some there for the first time, others there for their fourth year, lined the front rows of the auditorium.  The program started at 9:00 with opening statements from student teachers.  All former Playschool students were then recognized.  Following the opening ceremonies, the students were called one by one to receive their diplomas from BCHS Principal Patrick O’Driscoll.

International BBQ Festival by: Andy Sullivan

Saturday May 11, I attended the 35th annual International Bar-B-Q Festival in Owensboro, KY.  A haze of smoke filled the sky as thousands took in the sights, sounds, smells and mouth-watering tastes of the weekend. (May 10-11).  Overcast skies did nothing to dampen the spirits of the festival goers.
