MES host Arts, Humanities, and Practical Living Family Fun Night

 Students singing 7 Habits song

On Tuesday night, September 27th, Morgantown Elementary School hosted their Arts, Humanities, and Practical Living Family Fun Night. The purpose of this event was to give families the opportunity to meet with their child's teachers and learn what they are being taught throughout the year.  These classes are called “specials”.  The term "specials" is used in reference to the art, library, counseling, music, and physical education classes that MES offers.

Thank You from the Swift Family

Our hearts are full of gratitude when we say many thanks to family members and friends for all acts of kindness and sympathy: food, flowers, cards, visits and kind words spoken to our family regarding the recent passing of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Inis Marie Swift. We want to express special appreciation to White Ridge Church for providing immeasurable love and support, the nurses at Bowling Green Medical Center Critical Care Unit for providing attentive care to Inis and her family and Jones Funeral Chapel for professional and caring service.

Zoe Henderson, Lola Dickerson, and Aubree Grace Morgan

The Rochester Festival was held Saturday at the Rochester Park.  Beauty pageants, an art show, a car show, different craft vendors, hayrides, music, games, and food were the order of the day(and night).  The heat was good for bottled water sales too as they sold out by night.

The first-ever art show, the Butler County Pride Visual Art Project, was a success. Listed below are the winners:

MB&T Ice Cream Social

Morgantown Bank & Trust held their 4th Annual Ice Cream Social on Saturday at the Main Bank location. The event featured The Rose Band and The Dusty Road Boys.
The drive-thru lanes made perfect face painting stations.  Inflatables and games were a huge hit with the children.
According to Tom Jones, Bank President, this event is just one of the ways to show the bank's appreciation to the community.
Free ice cream, music, and fun turned out to be an excellent way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Aberdeen Baptist Homecoming Oct. 2

Having begun to experience revival, we at Aberdeen Baptist Church pray that as we once again reflect upon our rich Christian heritage, we build upon our solid foundation in Christ, anticipating the work God has in store for us. Pastor Roger Taylor and the congregation of Aberdeen Baptist Church warmly welcome the public to join us for our annual Homecoming Celebration Sunday, October 2, 2016. We plan to showcase our congregation’s musical talent as the public has come to expect on this joyous occasion, both in the morning service and afternoon singing.
