What to Know: Understanding Bed Sharing, Co-Sleeping and Room Sharing

Room sharing, co-sleeping, and bed sharing are not the same thing. Room sharing is encouraged while both co-sleeping and bed sharing are unsafe.

Room Sharing is sleeping in the same area as your baby. Safe Sleep KY - Room SharingThis allows you to be able to see, hear, and/or touch your baby. It is important to understand that room sharing means sharing the same room as your infant, not the same sleeping surface.

Room sharing is highly encouraged because close proximity makes nighttime care easier on parents.

Bless Amy Deweese and Family!

Larry Taylor

On September 18, 2016, around dusk, my brother Larry Taylor was involved in a fatal accident. Unknowing to him, Amy Deweese and her family were following Larry out of Bowling Green heading toward Morgantown. They were maybe 3-5 minutes behind him. They did not know who was on the motorcycle, but they would have him in sight until he rounded a curve and for a few minutes he would be out of sight until they turned the bend and saw him again.

Jetson Community Church

The Jetson Community Church opened its doors this year on June 1. The church meets in an unfinished building with an antique altar, providing plenty of space to worship. The congregation wants people to feel comfortable worshipping and to experience the love and unity they feel for mankind.  Pastor Kenny Raymer believes in getting back to the way church is supposed to be – a place to praise, worship and grow in grace. Approximately 70 people attend Jetson Community Church.
