Bowling Green, Kentucky– The Bowling Green Hot Rods (50-22) overcame a four-run deficit in a comeback win to take down the Rome Braves (34-38) 8-6 on Sunday at Bowling Green Ballpark in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The Hot Rods enjoy a league-wide off day on Monday before traveling to Aberdeen to take on the Ironbirds on Tuesday.

Bowling Green, Kentucky– The Bowling Green Bootleggers (48-21) tied their franchise record for consecutive wins at 10 with their 6-2 win over the Rome Braves (33-36) on Thursday night at Bowling Green Ballpark in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The Hot Rods and Braves play the fourth game of a six-game series at 6:35 PM CT on Friday. 

Trevino plays hero with walk-off in 9th to extend streak 

Bowling Green, Kentucky– Luis Trevino hit a walk-off single to lead the Bowling Green Hot Rods (47-21) to their ninth straight victory in a 4-3 win over the Rome Braves (33-35) on Wednesday at Bowling Green Ballpark in  Bowling Green, Kentucky. The two teams play the third game of a six-game series on Thursday with a 6:35 PM CT first pitch. 

Butler County High School baseballer Hunter McKee has signed to play college baseball at Bethel University in McKenzie, TN.  The signing ceremony took place on Monday, July 19, at the BCHS Athletic Fieldhouse.

Bowling Green, Kentucky– Jacob Lopez struck out a career-high 10 batters and the Bowling Green Hot Rods (44-21) broke the team’s single-season home run record in an 8-1 win over the Winston-Salem Dash (26-39) on Saturday at Bowling Green Ballpark in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The two teams play the series finale on Sunday with a 5:35 PM CT first pitch. 

Jones, Mead, and Witherspoon homer in twin bill sweep 

Bowling Green, Kentucky– John Doxakis and Jayden Murray each held the Winston-Salem Dash (26-36) to one run over five innings, helping the Bowling Green Hot Rods (41-21) sweep a doubleheader 5-1 and 2-1 on Wednesday at Bowling Green Ballpark in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The two teams play the third game of a six-game series Thursday with a 6:35 PM CT first pitch. 

Butler County High School 2021 Varsity Football practice officially begins Monday, July 12th. Daily workouts will be from 5-8 p.m. daily Monday through Friday.  All BCHS freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors are expected to attend daily.

July workouts are limited to shorts, shirts, and helmets. By KHSAA bylaws, full gear contact is not allowed until August 1st.

Rome, Georgia– Connor Hollis’ 11th inning sacrifice fly proved to be the difference in the Bowling Green Hot Rods (35-19) 2-1 win in extras over the Rome Braves (30-24) at State Mutual Field in Rome, Georgia on Wednesday. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Thursday evening with a 4:00 PM CT first pitch for game-one.
