The two teams play the second game of a six-game series on Wednesday with a 6:35 PM CT first pitch.

The Hot Rods and Drive play the third game of a six-game series on Thursday with a 6:35 PM CT first pitch.

The second scrimmage of the season takes on the format of a real game situation. Quarters one, two and three will be varsity, with the fourth quarter being JV. The kicking game is installed, both kickoff and punt formations but runbacks are whistled dead and not a part of the scrimmage.

Hot Rods Outfield Blasts Team-Leading 17th Homer in Loss 

Wilmington, DE– Jordan Qsar hit his team-leading 17th home run of the season in the Bowling Green Hot Rods (59-25) 10-3 loss to the Wilmington Blue Rocks (34-50) on Sunday afternoon at Frawley Stadium in Wilmington, Delaware. The Hot Rods enjoy a league-wide off day on Monday before starting a six-game series with the Greenville Drive on Tuesday at Bowling Green Ballpark.  

Gigliotti and Trevino extend hit streaks in loss  

Wilmington, DE– The Bowling Green Hot Rods (57-24) dropped the third game of a six-game series to the Wilmington Blue Rocks (33-48) in a 10-1 loss on Thursday night at Frawley Stadium in Wilmington, Delaware. The Hot Rods and Blue Rocks continue their series on Friday with a 6:05 PM CT first pitch. 

The BCHS Varsity Football program has been working daily preparing for the upcoming 2021 season. The Bears will host a tri-scrimmage at HOME this Friday, August 6th at 7pm on the BCHS campus.

The scrimmage opponents will be the Hart Co. Raiders and the Franklin Simpson Wildcats. This will be a controlled scrimmage with KHSAA game officials. The scrimmage can last two-three hours. 

McGowan hits 13th homer in series-ending setback 

Aberdeen, Maryland– Grant Witherspoon extended his hit streak to 13 games in the Bowling Green Hot Rods (55-23) 10-2 loss to the Aberdeen Ironbirds (39-38) in the series finale on Sunday at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, Maryland. The Hot Rods will not be in action with Monday serving as a league-wide off day. 

BG wins fourth-straight; Outfielder extends hit streak to 11 games

Bowling Green, Kentucky–The Bowling Green Hot Rods announced on Tuesday that Toby Keith’s “Country Comes to Town Tour” with special guest Matt Stell and Jackson Dean will perform at Bowling Green Ballpark on October 2nd, 2021. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 30th at 9:00 AM CT.

Aberdeen, Maryland– Hill Alexander had three hits and three RBIs to lead the Bowling Green Hot Rods (52-21) to a 7-5 victory over the Aberdeen Ironbirds (38-35) on Wednesday at Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, Maryland.
