Boys & Girls Club to redesign Town Club Site to Teen Center

The Boys & Girls Club of Butler County hosted a special community announcement on Tuesday, August 8, at their club location on South Tyler Street in Morgantown. The Town Club site is being transformed into a Teen Center with all new programs and technology. The Teen Center will target the community's teens (12-18 years of age) to engage them in workforce readiness technology to prepare them for potential employment within the community.

Elementary students will attend clubs at North Butler Elementary and Morgantown Elementary after school.

REAL ALLOY announces Aluminum Stewardship Initiative Performance Standard certifications

Beachwood, Ohio: REAL ALLOY announced today that it has achieved certification to the Aluminum Stewardship Initiative (ASI) Performance Standard for all of its melting and milling operations, which includes: Chicago Heights, IL; Friendly, WV; Goodyear, AZ; Loudon, TN; Mississauga, Canada; Monclova, Mexico; Morgantown, KY; Post Falls, ID; Sapulpa, OK; and two facilities in Wabash, IN. Real Alloy previously achieved the ASI Performance Standard and Chain of Custody certifications for its Coldwater, MI facilities and Beachwood, OH headquarters.

Property purchased for Judicial Center; $525K for two-acre site

The Butler County Properties Corporation met on July 24 at the courthouse. The corporation consists of the county magistrates and the county judge/executive.

Chairman Dillon Bryant, Fifth District magistrate, called the meeting to order and the group approved the minutes from the May 22 meeting. Judge/Executive Tim Flener announced that the purchase of the property for the new judicial center had been completed.

The Butler County Properties Corporation purchased approximately two acres from Coleman Land Management, LLC, for $525,000.00.

The Morgantown City Council convened on July 13, 2023, for a regular meeting. The meeting was attended by all council members, except for Dustin Embry.
