Property purchased for Judicial Center; $525K for two-acre site

The Butler County Properties Corporation met on July 24 at the courthouse. The corporation consists of the county magistrates and the county judge/executive.

Chairman Dillon Bryant, Fifth District magistrate, called the meeting to order and the group approved the minutes from the May 22 meeting. Judge/Executive Tim Flener announced that the purchase of the property for the new judicial center had been completed.

The Butler County Properties Corporation purchased approximately two acres from Coleman Land Management, LLC, for $525,000.00.

The corporation also approved the monthly treasurer's settlement for May and June 2023.

According to Judge Flener, a committee will be appointed to discuss the design and layout of the building. Environmental studies must also be completed before tearing down the existing structures on the property.

Since completing the task of purchasing the property, the corporation will now only meet as needed.
