The Grand Jury returned the following indictments on August 21 and set arraignments for September 12.

NWS issues excessive heat warning for central KY - including Butler

With triple-digit temperatures in the forecast this week, the National Weather Service office in Louisville, on Monday, issued an "Excessive Heat Warning" for "portions of southern Indiana and central Kentucky.  The area includes Butler County and surrounding areas.  The warning is in effect until 10 p.m. central time on Thursday.

Kentucky State Police Graduate Fifty-One New Troopers to Serve and Protect the Commonwealth

Increasing the number of sworn troopers to 940 for the agency

FRANKFORT, Ky. (August 11, 2023) — Today, Gov. Andy Beshear and the Kentucky State Police (KSP) announced that 51 cadets have graduated the agency’s training academy and are now ready to report for duty across the commonwealth.

Cadet Class 103 graduates increase the number of KSP troopers protecting Kentucky’s 120 diverse counties to approximately 940, which is the highest number of troopers the agency has employed since 2006.
