Student Basic Needs Action Network to facilitate food and housing solutions for students with low incomes

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today (7/20/23), at a Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) committee meeting, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Chairman of the HELP Committee, forbade U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) from offering an amendment that would require federal employees to reveal financial disclosures and royalty payments.

The Grand Jury returned the following indictments on July 17th and set arraignments for August 8th.

Casco recently celebrated its 25th year in Morgantown. They celebrated by providing lunch and new jackets to all the employees. Earl Beloin, the first plant manager at Casco Morgantown, was also in attendance. Casco currently employs around 80 employees working two shifts.  

The Ohio County Healthcare Mobile Access Clinic (MAC) will be set up at two locations in Butler County to provide walk-in visits just in time for those back to school physicals!

Louisville, KY (July 18, 2023) – Cora McMillan, from Butler County, recently returned home from Kentucky Farm Bureau’s (KFB) Institute for Future Agricultural Leaders (IFAL). A total of 87 high school students from around the state attended the five-day summer leadership conference.

State Representative Rebecca Raymer was recently nominated to attend a National Council of State Legislator’s (NCSL) Seminar on Prescription Drug Access and Costs. The meeting will take in place in September in Chicago.
