FRANKFORT, KY. (March 30, 2016) – Today Attorney General Andy Beshear, along with the Federal Trade Commission and agencies from all 50 states, settled the largest joint enforcement action ever brought by state charity regulators.
The settlement filed today dissolves the Cancer Fund of America Inc. (CFA), Cancer Support Services Inc. (CSS) and bans the president, James Reynolds Sr., from profiting from any future charity fundraising.

The Butler County Fiscal Court met in regular session on Monday night, March 28th. A short agenda awaited members of the Court, and a small number of visitors were present at the meeting.
The meeting opened with several items of routine business.
On the morning of Monday, March 28 Jane Smith, a member of the Butler County DAR, met with Mayor Billy Phelp as they signed a proclamation declaring March 29, 2016 as Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans' Day.

Morgantown’s Rite Aid location (205 W G L Smith St.) celebrated the store’s reopening Monday with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
District Manager Alex Poulter said the store was in need of a facelift.
“This store has been here for a while so we’ve changed the format a little bit, which we’re excited about,” Poulter said. “This is the health and wellness format store, not only does it provide our customers with a different shopping experience, but additional pharmacy services for our patients to keep them healthy.”
Patton Harrison Allen, a sophomore at Butler County High School has been invited and accepted to attend the Gatton Academy High School of Mathematics and Science on the campus of Western Kentucky University in the fall of 2016.
Special Investigator Attorney Jennifer Oldham of Hardin County has responded to the to the alleged criminal conduct of Butler County Sheriff Scottie Ward. In a letter addressed to Butler County Attorney Richard Deye, dated March 22, 2016, Oldham states:
"I have reviewed the information provided as well as news accounts of the Butler County Fiscal Court meeting on December 14, 2015. Unfortunately, there is no video recording of the meeting so I must therefore rely on what appears to be the most objective account of the meeting, the news reports.
The Butler County Fiscal Court met in special session on Monday night, March 21st. All Fiscal Court members were present, along with some visitors, and several members of the news media. Awaiting the magistrates were four items of business on the agenda.
The first agenda item was continued work on the County's criteria for adding roads into the county road system.
Kentucky U.S. Sen. Rand Paul (R) made a stop at the Butler County Extension Office Tuesday morning to discuss current state and national issues. Senator Paul touched on issues such as unemployment, economic growth and the growing national deficit, noting the debt clock on the wall of his office. “The government is borrowing about a million dollars every minute and that’s a problem,” he said. Butler County Judge David Fields introduced the Senator to a room of approximately 30 people who gathered in the meeting room of the Butler County Extension Office for the event.
