Two new ambulance board members selected; tax rates approved

Community Ag Safety Day to be Held

 A Way to Promote Safety for Our Butler County Families
Morgantown, KY, August 30, 2017– Butler County FFA and Progressive Ag will be sponsoring a Safety Day on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Eva Hawes Community Building located in the Morgantown City Park.  All families are invited to attend with their families from 9 AM till 12 Noon. 
Interactive presentations will be made on a number of safety topics to help our Butler County families learn about safety concerns and ways to improve the overall safety of children and adults living in our community.

Gov. Bevin holds Q & A on Facebook Live to address state's public pension crisis

 

Gov. Matt Bevin took to Facebook Live Monday night for about an hour to make his case for reform of the state's underfunded public pension system and to answer questions people posted on his official site.

He assured people watching the Facebook presentation – many of them state employees, judging from comments that streamed in while he spoke – that workers and retirees have nothing to fear.

FRANKFORT,  KY  –  LeeAnn  Daugherty,  an  agriculture  teacher  at  Butler  County  High    School,  is  the  2017  Kentucky Farm  Bureau  Career and  Technical  Education  (CTE)  Teacher of  the  Year.  The annual  CTE  award program  recognizes excellence   in  Career and  Technical  Education teaching,  administration,  leadership and  community service.
