Big South Realty & Auction, LLC is officially open in Morgantown at  112 Ashley Plaza Circle.  They are not a new business as they are entering their 18th year. Big South has offices in Gamaliel, Scottsville and Glasgow, KY.  Several were on hand for the ribbon cutting and open house.

Warren RECC is pleased to announce that Bob Crawford has been selected to represent Grayson County on its Board of Directors.  He replaces B.W. Lyons, who recently retired from the Board after 34 years of service to Warren RECC and its members.

Crawford is a lifelong resident of Grayson County and serves as secretary-treasurer for the Leitchfield/Grayson County Industrial Development Corporation.

Tuesday, September 12, members of the Butler County Farm Bureau gathered at the Eva J. Hawes Agricultural Center for the 79th annual membership meeting.  After a welcome by Shane Wells and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Maggie Drake, Patrick Daugherty provided the invocation.  After a dinner prepared by Green River Catering, Vice President Gregory Drake II introduced the guests.

Joey Kirby presented the Outstanding Young Farm Family award to the C.W. and Michelle Taylor, and children Garrison and Mollie.  The Taylors have cows, chicken houses, and crops. 

Morgantown City Council met Thursday night, September 14^th, at the Eva J. Hawes Building.

Three accidents were reported on Rochester Road on Wednesday, September 13th. Butler County EMS, Morgantown Fire Department, Butler County Rescue Squad, and Butler County Sheriff's Deputy Chris Reneer responded.

The Butler County Board of Education met in regular session on Tuesday, September 12, at Green River School.  Board members Ryan Daugherty, Debbie Hammers, Delbert Johnson, and Aimee Sanders were in attendance; Amy Hood was unable to attend.

 Butler County Fiscal Court met in regular session on Monday, September 11th at the Butler County Courthouse.  Second District Magistrate Johnny Tuck was unable to attend.

FRANKFORT - Kentuckians would be able to order flat license plates online as soon as early 2019 under a proposed overhaul of the state’s licensing system.
