Rollie K. Berry

Rollie K. Berry, age 75, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021 at his residence.  He was born in Flenerville, Ky. on Nov. 29. 1945 to the late Osborn T. and Hallie Jones Berry.  Rollie was a retired heavy machine welder and an avid U of L fan.  He was involved in politics, campaigned for the Democratic party and was very knowledgeable of theology and world history.  He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers William Ralph Berry (Marcella), Eugene Berry and sister Pauline Dockery (Carmen).

Larry Gene Burden

Larry Gene Burden, age 71 of Morgantown, KY went to be with the Lord October 13, 2021 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Larry was born December 3, 1949 in Louisville, KY to the late Delmer Tracy and Gennita Mae Burden. The family lived in Louisville, KY during Larry's childhood and he attended school at Pleasure Ridge Park. Though living in Louisville the family made frequent trips to Butler County. In 1958 at age 9 Larry was baptized and became a member of Zion Harmony Church. A few years later on one of his visits he met the love of his life Doretta Ann Smith Burden.

Billy Jo McKinney, age 57 of Morgantown, KY passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at his residence. Billy was born on Sunday, March 8, 1964 in Bowling Green, KY to Willard and the late Mary LeGrand McKinney. He loved listening to music, cutting up with friends, collecting anything and everything and working on projects.

Mary Opalene Romans Hocker

Mary Opalene Romans Hocker, age 94 of Morgantown, KY passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 at her residence. Opalene was born on Thursday, August 4, 1927 in Sunny Lane Butler County, KY to the late Ralph Roark & Iva Clay Thompson Romans. She is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years Adra Cherry (AC) Hocker; three brothers George Mason Romans, Joseph Benjamin Romans and Willie Stanley Romans. Opalene was a member of Morgantown Church of Christ. She was the previous co-owner of Hocker Family Insurance and an insurance agent for 65 years.

Anna Darlene (Threlkel) Ford

Mrs. Anna Darlene (Threlkel) Ford, age 74, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on October 10, 2021. She was born on August 7, 1947, in Louisville, KY, to the late Harlie C. and Irmalee Fay (Raymer) Threlkel. Mrs. Ford was an owner and operator of Ford’s Hair Fashions, a hairdresser, and retired from Sally Beauty Supply. Mrs. Ford is preceded in death by her parents; spouse of 51 years, Jerald Wayne Ford, and brother, Gary Threlkel.

Rebecca Lynn Roberts

Rebecca Lynn Roberts, age 59, of Bowling Green, Ky., passed away on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021 at her residence.  She was born on Oct. 14, 1961 in Bowling Green, Ky. to the late Cecil and Beulah Myrl Belcher Roberts.  She was a member of Mars Hill Church of Christ and enjoyed going to Active Day Adult Day Care Center, coloring and looking at magazines. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers Daniel, Clyde and Darrell Roberts; sister Shirley Massey.

Craig William Peavler

Craig William Peavler, 46, of Morgantown, Ky.  passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green.  Craig was born in Louisville, Ky. on January 20, 1975.  He attended Cool Springs General Baptist Church, worked at RCS Transportation and was an avid fisherman.  He was preceded in death by his brother Jeff Peavler.

Ida Pearl Coots

Ida Pearl Coots, age 85, of Louisville, Ky., passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at her residence in Louisville.  She was born July 10, 1936 in Morgantown, Ky. to the late Roy Hunt and Mary Bell  Hunt. She is preceded in death by her loving husband for over 52 years Harold Hugh Coots and half-sisters, Edna and Elodi.  Pearl was a member of Belmont General Baptist Church of Morgantown Ky. She worked at the Butler Co. Board of Education as a school bus driver. A few of her hobbies included reading and fishing .

Thomas Brantley Champion

Thomas Brantley Champion, 56 of Morgantown, KY passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. He was born January 3, 1965 in Anahuac, Texas to the late Thomas Champion and Margaret Jones Hegeman. Thomas was a retired carpenter and electrician, avid guitar player and he loved music. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one brother Darrell Lynn Champion.

Thomas Brantley Champion is survived by two daughters Jennifer Lynn Champion and Joy Champion; one sister Mary Champion and a best friend that was more like a brother Steve Clark.
