Carle H. Merewether, age 80 of Versailles, Indiana passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at his son's residence in Morgantown, KY. Carle was born on Monday, December 20, 1943 in Manchester, New Hampshire to the union of the late Walter and Claire LaCouture Merewether.  He was a United States Marine Veteran and a retired welder. Carle enjoyed hunting, fishing, building things and working around his property. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Norma Merewether; one brother Walter Merewether and one sister Marion Kelly.

Carle H. Merewether is survived by three children Michelle Merewether, Michael Merewether (Angela) and David Merewether (Rachel); 8 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; three siblings Therese "Gaye" Yanaszenski, George Merewether (Marian) and James Merewether (Don) and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 12:00pm CST at the Jones Funeral Chapel with Bro. Dave Blazer and Bro.Tim Bass officiating. Burial will be in the Merewether Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 11:00am CST until funeral time at 12:00pm CST.
