Sandra Mae Hammers, age 75 of Huntsville, KY passed away Monday, the 1st day of January, 2024 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Sandra was born Monday, the 9th day of August, 1948 in Richland , IN to the union of the late Robert R. and Viola Mae McVey Crume. She was a member of Huntsville Methodist Church, retired from Sumitomo Electric, and volunteered for many local organizations. Sandra enjoyed cooking, watching and collecting red birds, spending time with family and her loyal dog Willie. Other than her parents, Sandra is preceded in death by her twin brother, Randy K. Crume and one grandson, Josey Smith.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 57 years, Steve Hammers of Huntsville, KY, three children; Karen Smith (Ronnie) of Quality, KY, Kathy Fugate of Morgantown, KY and Glen Hammers (Tracy) of Rockport, IN, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, one brother, Gerald Wayne Crume (Ann) of Sacremento, KY, one sister Deanna Estes (Ray) of Lewisport, KY, and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, the 5th day of January, 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Jones Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bill Burke officiating. Burial will be in the Huntsville Methodist Cemetery with Tim Ashley, Jacob Fugate, Norman Estes, Jason Crume, Rick Speer, Danny Crume, and Chris Crume serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held Thursday, the 4th day of January, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Chapel and Friday, the 5th day of January, 2024 from 8:00 AM until funeral time at 2:30 PM at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
