Alan Staples

Alan Staples, age 46, of Morgantown passed away on Friday, April 6, 2012, at his residence. The Indiana native was born April 25, 1965. He was an electrician, farmer and a maintenance worker and a member of Monticello Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Freeman and Dorothy Mae Staples.
He is survived by his Wife: Cathy Staples of Morgantown, 2 Daughters: Kayla Staples and Monica Smith both of Morgantown, 1 Son: Paul Staples of Morgantown, 2 grandsons: Kaeden Deweese and Isiah Nicewinter both of Morgantown and 1 Brother: James Staples of Bowling Green.

Roy Evans

Roy C. Evans, 69 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at
Medical Center of Bowling Green. He was a Butler County Native, son of the late Isom Evans and Leley Cardwell Evans. Roy was a Army Veteran and worked at Emerson Engineering for 20 years. He was a mechanic, ran a sawmill and had a love for gardening and fixing things.

Carlis E. McKinney age 74 of Bowling Green, Kentucky, formerly of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away at his son's residence on Friday, April 6, 2012. He was a Butler Co. native, son of the late Estil and Gertrude Pate McKinney. He was a bridge builder in the construction bussiness and was preceeded in death by one daughter Linda McKinney and one son Carlis Wayne McKinney.

Ann L. Moore, age 81, of Mt. Vernon, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2012 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. The Butler County native was born April 7, 1930. She was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting and she was of the Baptist faith. She was the daughter of the late Robert Taylor "Brud" and Hattie Bell Langford Manners .

Anna Rose Burden

Anna Rose Burden, 79 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab in Morgantown, Ky. She was a Grayson County native and daughter of the late Hobart and Cloa Mudd Jackson. She was a member of Belmont General Baptist Church, Caneyville High School graduate class of 1949 and a homemaker. Mrs. Burden was saved at a young age and raised her children in church and a christian home. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers James, Floyd and Bud Jackson and one granddaughter Delania Brooke Embry.

Clay Childers, 84 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 2, 2012 at his residence. He was a Butler County native, son of the late James and Lilly Dye Childers. Clay was a member of Mt Union Baptist Church, Deputy Sheriff, City police man, and life long member of the Butler County Rescue Squad. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters Pearl Hawkins, Faye O'Brien and Edith White and one brother J T Childers.

Paul T. Meredith, 87 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Sunday April 1, 2012 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. He was a Butler County native, son of the late Lewis and Margaret Penner Meredith. Paul was a United States Army Veteran, retired farmer and attended Cool Springs General Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers Eliegh, Arthur, Charles and Noatley Meredith and 2 sisters Arzella Cohron and Novis Jones.

Diana Sue Threlkel, age 63, of Morgantown, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. She was born
in  Butler County on January 20, 1949.
She is survived by her Parents: Henry and Lois Threlkel of Morgantown, 2 Brothers: Ron and wife Barbara of Plano, Tommy and friend Lisa of Franklin, 3 Sisters: Jan Morgan of Indianapolis, In., Betty Vance and husband Jimmie of Franklin and Anita Minton and husband James of Morgantown. 3 Nephews and 3 Nieces, 2 Great Nephews and 6 Great Nieces. She was preceded in death by one sister Patty.

She was a Butler County native, daughter of the late Verner and Varah Harper Harrison and wife of the late Robert "Bob" Mefford. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Bowling Green, Ky and she was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Herold John Harrison, Robert Lee Harrison, and Paul Harrison.
