BCHS: Super Saturday 2013

Currently there is a push in education to enhance student participation in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. These efforts reflect a growing trend to make our students more competitive in a changing global market for jobs.  Here in Butler County, we share the same ideas and goals.

Butler County Chapter DAR Honors Butler County Students at 43rd Annual Silver Tea

On Thursday, April 25, the Butler County Chapter National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold its annual Silver tea. The Butler County Chapter has been recognizing outstanding Butler County students for 42 years!

Women's Retreat

Need Your Home Weatherized? Call Community Action!

Community Action is now taking Weatherization applications by appointment through June 30, 2013 for income eligible families living in homes, which are not energy efficient. The Weatherization Program’s cost-effective home improvements are designed to reduce heating costs by making the dwelling more energy efficient, and to provide a healthier, safer and more comfortable environment. Heating systems are also evaluated for safety, energy efficiency, fuel leaks and carbon monoxide.

Andrea's Mission Benefit: Gospel Singing Jubilee

Gospel Singing Jubilee organizers held their first meeting at the Antique shop.  Organizers included Barry and Melissa Embry, Kristie Austin, Charlie and Jamie Austin, Amanda Neighbors, Leslie,Carlie and Chloe Cardwell, Christine Coleman, Linda Long, Savannah and Layla Lindsey, and Paula and Bob Wilson.

Benefit Singing for Tracy Stuffle

Tracy Stuffle, bass singer and owner of nationally known southern gospel artist The Perry's, suffered a massive stroke from a vessel hemorrhage on Monday, January 21, 2013. Tracy is currently in ICU in a hospital in Nashville, TN.
