Butler County`s Relay for Life will be Friday, May 3 at the BCHS football field. The  BCHS football team will have their spring Blue/White scrimmage starting at 5:00, and Relay for Life will have their Opening Ceremony after the game approximately at 7:00.  Please come out to support our BCHS football team and to support the American Cancer Society.   If you are interested in forming a team please attend the Relay for Life meeting on Tuesday, April 30 at the Public Library .  Committee meeting starts at 5:00 and Team Captain meeting at 6:00.   Please join us in our fight against cancer.

Residents of Morgantown Care and Rehab were called upon Wednesday afternoon to judge a quilt show as the quilts were placed throughout the lobby area for viewing. Two winners, residents’ choice and staff’s choice, earned the honor of public display. Entries from staff member Helen Phelps won both divisions.

Butler County Middle School is accepting parent nominees to serve on the 2013-2014 Site Base Decision Making Council.

The Site Base Decision Making Council has the responsibility to set school policy consistent with district board policy and will provide an environment to enhance students' achievement and help the school meet their goals.

Butler County High School is currently accepting nominations for two parent representatives to serve a one year term on the School Based Decision Making Council.  Any parent with a child attending Butler County High School during the 2013-2014 school year is eligible to run for SBDM.  SBDM representatives are required to attend a 6 hour trai

A pair of Butler County residents participated in the South Kentucky Ranch Horse Association Event held at the Bowling Green Exposition Center this past weekend. Fourteen year old, Elizabeth Blaine and her fourteen year old bay mare, Piper, took part in showmanship and tests of skill at the two day action packed contest that features the American Quarter Horse. Quarter Horses were originally developed in Colonial America for quarter mile racing. With their strong Indian heritage, these horses are known for their bursts of speed over short distances.
